It's sad we abuse Christmas music this bad. This is the only one to get the chords and harmonies and additions correct, and feel extremely christmassy. The band is very good, but some things are still out of tune and out of synchronization.

Ending a song on a sweetened jazz chord is the best way to end a song instead of some royal major chord where every instrument plays the same 4 notes, usually : D, B, G, and D or if they feel remotely spicy...then E as the last note. Beautiful piece/arrangement, really gets you into the spirit like nothing else could ever even begin to

@@matthewleininger8079 ah what a shame, tell'em that they need to listen to more music that isn't basic pop.

Kind of presumptuous to call a major seventh chord a “jazz chord” but I agree.
@WitchKing-Of-Angmar11 ай бұрын
@@overhead7045 I live in a basis of flowerly terms, I'm not as stupid as to say "jazzy chord" and I'm not robotic as to say "diminished 7th hemiquaver 3rd graced" because I'm a car facade person, not a car engine person if you get me. No one's going around saying "beautiful body lines and unique exposhion embellishment, metallic maroon paint on sculpted body" in the same way they would be using that sentence terming when saying "beautiful 680 2 cylinder, 7 carriage holder and 240 BS plate." So I would call this a dimished, vintaged style jazz block-chord. Now I've heard a chord like nothing you've ever encountered so I have a one up on you in terms of your musical knowledge in chord naming. I can find you a few if you like and highlight the exact parts.

There really is no limit to what this composer is capable of, is there? He is just AMAZING!!! (And, wow! What a great job this band did on it as well!)

Man, I played this for my sophomore year for our Christmas concert and it was really cool. One of my buddies and I always loved that low brass/horn part at 0:36 and would always bob our heads to it. No one else in our band really cared for this piece, but me and my friend loved it and would always practice it together, such good times.

Unless you're playing flute and get confronted by top Bbs (too many leger lines above the stave to count) in runs.

Covers and Choreo , I'm pretty sure these are the comment who hear things as feelings in the background more then people who understand that we have to finger correct keys, key signatures, tempos of around 160 usually, rhythm, pitch, set up, 16th, 32nd, and 48th notes perfectly..also altissimos and leisurely placed in triplets to sextuplets..also once i got the longest measure to hold one note which the time signature was 10/4 at dotted : 8th note Absolute hell
@garlic_bread_toast440310 ай бұрын
@@WitchKing-Of-Angmarswitch to brass. it’s easier. Also 48th notes don’t exist and there’s no 10/4 in this song
