One of the most intelligent, insightful and introspective sermons I think I have ever heard. This is the type of preaching our generation needs so desperately, unconventional aspects of God's personality, backed up with sound preaching and pure scripture. Bravo Pastor Wesley, To God Be The Glory

This message was so on my street, parked in front of my house and sitting in my kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This mirrored my life so much right now, I really have a limp, unemployed, homeless and been wrestling with the ministry! Everytime I tell the LORD no, HE sends someone for me to pray for, someone for me to minister to, it's prophetic. Pastor Wesley, thank GOD for blessing you in advance and for what HE is doing in me.

This message of depth is a trying for any Christian's faith. I count it a GREAT blessing for Pastor Wesley to even attempt it. This is a hard to digest message for any servant of the Lord. "I'm willing to die to get my blessing". "I won't let go because i'm going to get my blessing"

Hallelujah Jesus for this phenomenal Holy Ghost anointed Word! Jacob was still operating in the flesh prior to his encounter with God. He had sought to buy Esau’s forgiveness and assuage Esau’s anger with stuff, but when he’d been touched by the hand of God, his entire life changed. It’s not an overnight change! I love how Pastor used the Abraham, Isaac and Jacob analogy, reminding us that no matter how righteous we try to be, we all have some Jacob tendencies!!! THANK YOU FATHER GOD, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND HOLY SPIRIT!!!

Thank you so much pastor!!!! I wrestled with a Spirit many years ago from what I remember about a 7 day fast. I grew up fasting for God in church so I did it when I had moved away from home because I was use to it. I was by myself like Jacob. Immediately when I tried to get out of bed a Spirit pulled me and wrestled me to the floor from my bedroom into the living room. It grabbed me by my neck. I was fighting for my life! Yet somehow I don't really recall being afraid. I only recall fighting. After awhile It left me. My throat remained soar for a few days. Then I went through a long period of uncertainty in my life for years. I wondered Who that was that attacked me on my bed from fasting to God for years. I'm so thankful to hear your word today. Like a revelation in my ears. Thank you! ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

We must pray for others. We must pray children have fathers and mothers and a foundation of the laws to live free in the new testament and adult life. Love them for their lives and their future and raising them. In a way the world says is too mean these days. It does not mean every day is discipline. Many days are good. But when teaching and raising do not kill but teach do not spoil. Spoil is what it means. Love them enough to give them a future to walk through the fire and come out the other side in perseverance. Disciplined and prepared for life. Not in embarrassing abusing etc. And not in a place that will take it from you. Nineveh tries to learn. That is granted them for trying to learn. Or not knowing. To know you may have to give a second chance if you don't know either. I never ran anywhere, for everyone is everywhere. May not look the same. But the spirit is. Old Testament foundation new testament individual life.

That is why it is raise your children up in the way they should go that the world says is wrong. Wants to convict the parent that doesn't spare the rod to spoil their children. They hate them and when we do we are under secular attack and yet others go too far and kill their children. Or in casting out demons. Or think they have a demon being normal human beings. Being a normal human being is not a demon. How God created human beings. And there is no favor in some families and no one sees their scars or stripes . assumes many things. In convetting that we are also warned about.

Some of the details of this are not represented accurately. It wasn't oatmeal it was lentil or venison. The scripture doesn't say Esau gathered 400 men but that there were 400 men with him. We don't know if the men sent to Esau found him and them en route from/to somewhere. It doesn't even intimate that Esau was still wanting to kill Jacob. And Laban didn't put Jacob out. Yah told Jacob to leave and go back to his home country with the assurance He would be with him. However it was apparent Jacob that it was really his guilty conscience and scheming identity that was the true threat to his future not Esau The overall message though is great!! 👍

I love this message. However he makes a leap of assumption as to why God was wrestling with Jacob. There's no biblical evidence to support/clarify why Jacob's hip was broken or what the fight was over. Still, it's a moving word.
@Daya182811 жыл бұрын
I love this message too! If you listen to what pastor Wesley says before he states why God broke Jacob's hip (perhaps it should be more logical and definitely not a leap of assumption when it happens all the time in the life of humanity and to those who serve God. The Spirit speaks in this message, listen.): "What struggle is there in life where God doesn't always prevail? There is only one struggle where we can stand seemingly toe to toe with God and that is the struggle of our will". If this is true, process of elimination is that that the fight was over will. We do know that is what the allowance of God for Jacob's hip to be broken because GOD didn't prevent it (and God's hand was on Jacob) AND after it was broken, we can gather that Jacob was utterly dependent and no longer against the will of God. Sin is defined as being outside of the will of God in whatever circumstance. God intervenes for the ones he loves and has a purpose for so breaking does occur, we don't always have to know why especially when we know things don't just happen by accident. #Submit &Surrender #Cause&Effect Although an assumption (because pastor wasn't there), definitely not a leap of untruth because the Word tells us what happens to Jacob and pastor mentions more than a few verses to draw several conclusions that are essentially the same and consistent for Jacob's behavior.
