AlfredStreet, you all are so blessed to have such an unmasked Pastor because so many are walking with God with a masked on because of fear of what others think. Jesus did not like hypocrisy and many of us do not know that we are in that state. I have been saved 20 plus years and did not know until the last 5 years that I was faithfully in a relationship with Jesus while wearing a mask that I did not know I had on. It took the Holy Spirit driving me into my first wilderness to correct my Faith and me. Instead of self righteousness I some how picked up in the church house, I have been given the gift of Righteousness in Christ Jesus. Now I can rest and abide on the Vine and allow the Spirit to bring forth the fruit. Now I am in a place where I am learning to respond to the righteousness I have been given freely.

I remember a time where I was HARD PRESSED and going thru some thangs (not things lol) in my life. Life was HARD. And I remember like it was yesterday that I PRESSED my way to church. Despite HOW I was feeling, I desperately PRESSED my way into the house of the Lord. This was in Maryland (DMV, stand up lol) and the church was Reid Temple. And it was the BEST thing that I could EVER have done. You may ask why and I would say because it was THERE that I RECEIVED my BREAKTHROUGH on THAT DAY! And if I would have STAYED home, my PROBLEMS would have festered and stayed there WITH ME! The sermon was titled 'God Uses Ordinary People to Do Extraordinary Things.' And it was on that DAY that I got my PRAISE on! My, my. To ANYONE, and especially to those who have experienced church hurt, I would say, there IS no perfect church. But there are genuine ppl out there in some churches that are PRAISING a PERFECT GOD. In church there are BROKEN and IMPERFECT ppl who are PRAISING a PERFECT GOD! And THAT is alright! This sermon is laughable. The church will always be at odds with the culture. We should not be conforming the church to the culture. The “door” analogy is totally misplaced. Preach the word of God not your personal philosophy. All this rhetoric might be entertaining but it does not edify the body of Christ. If being “real” means focusing on the flesh then you are out of order. It is not about “faking” church it about being conformed into the image of Christ and bearing with our brothers and sisters in Christ as we are all being sanctified by the word of God.

Bro Caldwell put some earphones on and listen only, don't watch the sermon. Then answer these questions. How can one be conformed if they can't even get through the "doors" of the church? Are you suggesting that hurt (encompassing all sinners) people can't/shouldn't enter "in" unless they hide (fake) what ails them? You believe sinners in and out of the church must put on a facade conforming to the image of Christ to be allowed to worship? The points I received from the message are 1. Open the doors of the church to ALL people, regardless of sin, ALL are welcome. It's not a "members only" club and it is a free of judgement zone. 2. Get the mess out; as born again believers we must die to ourselves daily; despite our best efforts we still wrestle with our sin, as we mature in Christ, God expects that we be mindful to not hinder others on their walk "keep the mess out." 3. Give space for saints to be honest & transparent of our struggle with sin, do not elevate anyone (priest, pastor, preacher, teacher) as god because WE ALL (even church leaders) fall short which hinders the body of Christ. "Keep your eyes on God and not man" 4. It's ALWAYS the right time to celebrate that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins which covers us in grace, gives us access to relationship with God and a chance at eternal life with Him in Heaven. This is what it's all about. I'm curious to know why you think this message is laughable and bending to worldly culture? Maybe, perhaps we didn't hear the same message?

Mr Caldwell, the message has to relate to our present experiences; hence Pastor Wesley has never missed an opportunity to do so in his messages. This man is anointed! I have listened to at least 150 of his messages. He is on point everytime!
