Always try to visit in Summer. The gardens are gorgeous and you can walk along the riverside. Alfriston itself is a lovely little place to visit.

This piece of music, so moving. .....takes me back to the books of Jane Austen and Agatha Christie. Miss.Marple must have lived in one of such a village. Thank you for this wonderful video.

Thank you for the comments to the Alfriston AV sequence. Although I am not sure whereabouts Agatha Christie lived it would indeed have been a village similar to Alfriston. As for the music, its called, "Return To The Present" and composed by John Barry who wrote lots of film music including most of the James Bond theme, and so your image of Jane Austin and Agatha Christie is not at all wrong and all very quintessentially English of course.

@@KeithWatsonPictures Just over the border from Washington State, is Victoria BC, Some say it is more English than the English. nearVictoria is a re-created Shakespeare Village, and the Shakespeare house.It looks a lot like the Clergy House in this Video. You can tour it with a guide, who is dressed in periiod costume. Every room is furnished authentically, And there are English gardens, too. It is as close as I will ever get to England. The music and the beauty in this video is lovely and haunting. Thank you. from NW WA 🌲🌲💕🇺🇸
