ALGARVE PORTUGAL - 7 Hanging Valleys Trail - Stunning Coastal Walk

Is this the best hike in Europe? The 7 hanging valleys Trail along the Algarve Coastline in an absolutely spectacular 5.7 km hike and is a very easy day trip from Portimao.
We took a bus to Praia do Carvalho, then hiked to the beginning of the trail at Praia da Marinha. This beach alone is worth coming for as it is spectacular in it's own right and has won awards for being in the top 10 beaches in Europe.
From there it is a pleasant day walk along the coastline to Praia do Vale de Centeanes at he western end of the trail. It took us 5 hours to walk this route going very slowly and stopping for lunch and plenty of WOW photo stops.
The trail passes some incredibly impressive coves and beaches such as Praia de Benagil, Praia do Carvalho and Praia do Vale Espinhaço. The scenery en route is seriously mind blowing.
We continued for about another 2km along the coast to the stunning Praia de Carvoeiro where we had time for a swim before taking a bus back to Portimão.
This is a fantastic day hike which costs nothing other than the bus fares each way and I would say could well be one the BEST HIKES IN EUROPE!

Wow! What a great video!! I can't believe you had Praia da Marinha to yourselves. I was there in August of 2019 and there was barely enough space available to put down a towel! I will make that hike one day. Thank you for sharing it with us.
