One of my favourite annual vents held in Loulé during the month of February, is the Feira do Chocolate at the Market. It's a week long self-indulgent event of "everything chocolate". Chocolatiers from all over Portugal come to Loulé to demonstrate their craft and sell their wares. So tasty! Thank you for the tour of one of my favourite towns in the Algarve.

Loule looks like a really lovely town - a great walking place, too. I liked your technique of doing the overhead shot, and then zooming in and giving us a ground view of things. Kind of strange the train station is so removed from the heart of town. With Loule being close to Faro, the transport hub of the Algarve, it looks like a good place to live - close enough to the beaches, but enough away to avoid the onslaught of tourists. The park shown near the end really looked nice. Probably less bustle than normal, due to Covid, but glad some restaurants and shops are open. The climate in the Algarve should be good in repelling any virus. Loule seems like it would be a good starter town to locate in, and perhaps permanently, too. Thanks for the tour, Nick!

Great video. I could use some advice, please. I'm 32 and considering moving to Portugal from England mostly for warmer winter months (but general change in lifestyle appeals too). I visited Loulé and Faro 5 years ago but from what I remember, I get the impression there may not be enough for me to do, even in Faro. Would I compromise a noticeably colder change in winter weather (compared to the Algarve) if I moved to Lisbon, for example?

Lisbon is a few degrees cooler and a little wetter than the Algarve but obviously has lots more on. The Algarve is great for people who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. Hope this helps.

Is there any public transport in Loulé or surrounding areas? I hate driving.

The lady in the video said it’s a great place for those 40+? Where would you say is better for young people and families? We are from the UK and have children age 5 and 3 and are looking at our options in Portugal. Thanks for the great videos!

Hi Elizabeth, the whole Algarve used to have a much older expat demographic. It's changing these days and more families are relocating over due to Brexit, issues in the USA and South Africa. That video was made almost two years ago and it feels like things have changed a fair bit. There are many more younger people around now.

Great style and creativity in a video about a town. Would love to have seen a brief bit on rental or real estate costs. Just my suggestion, but really good video overall.

Great suggestion and duly noted. You can have a look at www.idealista.pt/en for a general idea about rental and real estate costs. I hope that helps.

The best way to do that is to look on www.idealista.pt/en Finding a rental in the Algarve is tough, but not impossible. Also look at Airbnb

Hi. Could you give me the name of the beach you were surfing at?
@AlgarveAddicts4 жыл бұрын
Yeah sure, that was Praia do Faro. Works in the winter but non existent in the summer.

@@AlgarveAddicts awe that sucks. Love the Mediterranean, but the lack of waves? Why bother. Haven’t had a board for decades. Now content to body surfing during summer in Los Angeles area. But I love Spain & Italy so much.

We're okay here in the winter on the Atlantic. Tons of surf on offer. During the summer we have to head off to the west coast.
