I've been listening to black metal since I was 13 years old. I'm 22 now. How come I haven't heard of this amazing band yet??

Damn I’m 27 and I remember finding this song years back. I knew this before dark funeral and other 3rd wave black metal

As one rope loosens, another then tightens Far too long we've been strangled and tied This sick circle of shame must now finally break So that honour may again walk by our side Roamers of the path of many paths Now the hour has come for us to act With inhuman hatred and intensity To ram down the monoliths of fallacy At the mass grave of religions man's triumphant age begins The heartblood of these tyrants will wash us clean of sin We'll stand among the victors through this colossal war The sight of moving mountains is what we are here for The ethics and laws that we deeply abhor Have left mere rust and rot in their wake So each such child of the holiest of lies Together with their fathers shall be slain The storm of rebellion will never calm down In the raging hearts of the truly devout So hold not a moment more thy fury back For swords are made to cut and daggers to stab At the mass grave of religions man's triumphant age begins The heartblood of these tyrants will wash us clean of sin We'll stand among the victors through this colossal war The sight of moving mountains is what we are here for Enthralling is the scent of burning shrines And the sound of crumbling hierarchies As after this disgraceful time The true nature in us can once again breathe May lips wet with blood to the world now proclaim: At last the Beast if free and, verily, so shall remain! In the chanting winds of this glorious black night We hold the scalps of the crushed rulers high Without swaying a hammer or piling any stones Where once their towers stood we raise our own At the mass grave of religions man's triumphant age begins The heartblood of these tyrants will wash us clean of sin We'll stand among the victors through this colossal war The sight of moving mountains is what we are here for

People cannot overestimate what a monumental turning point this album made for melodic black metal. It must go down as one of the top five in history.

@Cbuster666 there are certain religions that are ok like when kids get raped they are getting raped by most likely catholic priests, i hate catholisism because it gives religion a bad reputation but if you get into a really laid back church then it is perfectly fine, i went to some youth group and they were completely chill, the laid back churches are just there to help people and guide them through tough times in life

Satan is not a person; however, it is the spiritual concept of bliss through Hedonism and the left-hand path.

@Giapperiable So you just take the -theism out of it. Well, to me, religious symbolism is just as stupid, tbh. It's like the LaVeyan thing; be alpha, but be alpha with Satan in mind and hearth. What does Satan have to do with being a dominant creature? Well, i haven't actually read the LaVeyan bible or anything (a bit, but didnt think i'd need that info anyways so i didnt care), so please correct me if i'm wrong instead of flaming me.
@liquidpig12 жыл бұрын
@Djentard Again, it's it's the one that's most prominent. It's inevitable backlash. Your estimation of 500 years is too long; the Salem Witch Trials were ~300 years ago, for instance. And I still can't buy liquor on a Sunday in Texas, that's just one symptom of how seeped our society is in xtianity. Islam has its place too of course, but it's easier to focus on the majority, especially when they most likely have xtian background themselves and resent that. So. You asked why, that would be why.

@Piloo92 JESUS!!!!!or in spanish HEYZUS!

@Djentard Americans feel anti-xtian sentiments on a deeper level than another religion the majority of their country doesn't belong to or one the individual was never apart of. If I were brought up Muslim in a Muslim-majority country I'm sure I would hate that religion just as much. But I'm in America and that's not the case. I don't know how to make it any more clear.
@Nahak9lah13 жыл бұрын
@cofarmer1982 Agreed about what you said about christ, and about hating the world. But remember, it's not christianity the one to blame. it's on ourselves. human kind is the true poison, not some ideologies created by us. They just sound even worse than ourselves.
@EyeLickChildren13 жыл бұрын
@guitar7901 No sir, I am too lazy to explain, that is why I simply said what instead of correcting your horribly fallacious statement.

@Djentard Well, I assume it's because they're surrounded by xtians, and it's the majority of the religion where they live. When you hate religion, you're going to lash out at the most prominent one. You mention Islam; and while it's true that recently they've been much more violent than other religions, they still have a ways to go before catching up with xtian atrocities.

@xxXMisanthropyXxx Using a xD-smiley is totally smart and cool. To me, believing in the horn headed fellow as a creature is as stupid as believing in Jesus. Satan is something that is in all of us, you just have to realize and find it.
@Djentard12 жыл бұрын
@liquidpig Well playing metal in middle eastern muslim countries can lead to jail/fines or even death. I'd say that is a bit more extreme then no liqour on Sunday. I do see what you are getting at tho.
@ryanTasher13 жыл бұрын
@timarmstrong666 Yeah lmao if religious people did a little bit of reasearch, they already have a more believeable theory on how the world was created then any religion out there...

No, LaVeyan Satanism is not the thing christians scare kids with, i know the ideology, but is a cult with "dark imagery" really needed for such a thing as "strength of the individual"? How strong are you really if you draw it from a cult?
@Djentard13 жыл бұрын
@WarPigs192837465 Haha...that is true :P But still, Islam is more of a problem then christianity is.
