May 30 - June 2 2024: This trip was to have been a loop around Lake Louisa - but plans changed along the way - turning the trip into a there-and-back trip to Big Porcupine. Despite the truncated route, I was still rewarded with a rich and varied display of wildlife as well as with beautiful scenery. Thank you for watching.

Another great video. I like that you explain your daily plans and provide periodic updates and summaries throughout. That stick stove is remarkable; I may have to try one of those myself one day. Poor Mason. Man, I can relate to stiff joints and muscles! Photography was excellent as per usual. I liked the slow motion shots too, very effective. I'll have to give that book a read. What a treat to see the Moose and her calf! Keep up the great work. Your content is among the best out there. Cheers. Daryl

Hey Daryl! Glad to hear that you enjoyed that one. The stick stove is a lot of fun... and also very light - but it does require tending and does not do so well for simmering... but for straight up water boiling it is a gem. Yeah... Mason is still doing pretty well but some days are better than others for the big guy. And I can also relate to the stiff joints and muscles! But as they say... "movement is medicine". The moose and calf was a real treat... would you believe that my #$%^& battery died just as I was filming them?! They were heading into the woods anyway... but geez... that was a close call. Something for me to keep in mind for next time. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words of support. Standing by for your next video. Cheers! T.

Hey Doug. What an interesting backstory! I have canoed over some of his old tripping grounds - and have visited some of the old log cabins that he spent time in. He was quite the interesting character alright! Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Trevor.
