The forest tower guy is my favourite exhibit I pick up that phone thingy and listen every time I am there 🙂 it’s interesting hearing them talk the ranger and him old English with no slang. Good video! I would imagine this place is special to a lot of people

Oh, I forgot about that phone this time but I know what you mean. It must have been a lonely job atop a fire tower but with a million dollar view! I was up a fire tower on a high school trip (a long time ago) to the Leslie M. Frost Natural Resource Centre near Dorset. Not the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower, which is also nice, but an actual (former) fire tower. I don't mind telling you it was pretty scary at the top of the ladder and climbing through a trap door on the floor of the observation cab. But the view was amazing, way above the tree line. Not sure if the link below is going to work, but if it does you can see this fore tower in the distance. Hey Chris, you changed your name, I was doubting if it was you for a moment haha😀 Nice little place, but I don't think I would want to visit this visitor centre myself. Maybe the store at the end for some souvenirs and the nice view from that balcony

Hi Tycho. Yes, I changed my channel name a while ago actually. I figured all of my videos are from within my home Province of Ontario for now, and likely will be for a while. There's plenty to discover in Ontario anyway as it's bigger than many countries. It would take many people several lifetimes to explore it all. But I discovered that most people aren't going to know where Ontario is so I had to change my profile picture to a Canadian (& Ontario) flag. :P The visitor centre is really interesting actually. The storyboards are very informative and written in an entertaining way. They tell the natural and human history of the park. This bookstore is great actually. It does have some touristy gifts but also has a great collection of books etc mostly related to wildlife, canoeing, hiking and information/stories about the park. You're right, the view from the deck is beautiful, especially as it looks over a few very different types of habitats. Conifer and hardwood forests, a spruce bog, and a peak at a lake. Thanks for your comments and thanks for stopping by my friend.

Oh thats a good thought! I also get to know Ontario better than I did before. All I knew was from what I saw in the tv show 'Orphan Black'. Thanks for writing such a detailed reply!👌 Take care mate🙂

I could change my channel name to "Chris' Tours of Ontario, which is a province in Canada between Quebec and Manitoba. Still not sure? Well, you may be familiar with Toronto (CN Tower/Toronto Raptors...??), which is the capital city of the Province of Ontario. Still no? It's where Orphan Black is filmed!" ...Too wordy? LOL
