Thanks for the comment. It's been a while since I learned Python, so I can't really recommend a specific resource, but you can find plenty of great (free) stuff by googling. As soon as you have the basics down, I recommend trying to practice and code as much as you can yourself. That's definitely the best way to learn. And don't get frustrated if you find yourself looking up things all the time. That's how programming works!

I haven't used any resources to learn Python recently which is why I can't give you a personal recommendation. However, there are plenty of great free resources out there. Here is a list of a few: dev.to/javinpaul/top-5-places-to-learn-python-programming-for-free-m4c Generally, it's best to code a lot yourself (once you have the basics down). Actively trying yourself leads to much better results than just passively watching/reading tutorials.

It’s been quite a while since I learned Python, so I can’t really give you a concrete recommendation. But there are plenty of great free tutorials out there. Generally, I’d recommend trying to code/practice as much as you can yourself. In my opinion, that’s the best way to learn coding.

A lot of the concepts are transferable but we will be using Python and QuantConnect and not MT4 for this series.

Don't worry, you won't need a deep understanding of them to follow along. It might just be useful to understand what a DataFrame is.

@@schafferluke Yes, inside of the algorithm that's what it's mainly used for. But inside of the research environment, pandas skills can be much more useful since there you're basically just analyzing data that is structured into pandas data frames.
