The ending with the alien thingy, it actually relates to ALAB. I don't know if this is the right way to say it but... They kinda threw a shade to ALAB. Cause you know, in alab they were asked what color is their love? and each of the members represent a color. However, the ending and the beginning of the ALAB music video, the narrator is speaking in Korean. Which means, those colors does NOT represent their love cause they are Filipinos not Koreans. That's why in Gento music video, it represents the real them and their love's true color is GOLD or GINTO in Filipino. Which is not part of any of the colors in ALAB. I saw this in one of the comment section of another yt reactor for intl fans...some few notes here since the song have a lot of Filipino references: 1. Pablo cooking scene - The ingredients in the pot he's cooking are for the Filipino dish called "nilaga", this is reference to PH proverb, "Pag may tiyaga, may nilaga" which means "hard work has its rewards" 2. Stell shower scene - In PH since the weather is very hot here our body produces this "sour" smell in the armpit (that's why we always use deo) so people who don't take care of their hygiene here are called "maasim" literally "sour" so then he said in the lyrics that no matter how sweaty and sour he smell after all the hardwork he did all day the haters are more "sour" than him/them. 3. Josh rap part - He said that he will not swallow a stone because he's not Darna, Darna is a PH Icon Comics hero, she swallows a "stone" before she transform on her Darna form, so what he's saying is he's no superhero - He said that he's his own mechanic and don't need "Moniko", this is reference to a PH tongue twister: "Minikaniko ni Moniko, ang makina ni Monika" which translate to "Moniko fixed Monika's engine" so he's saying that he doesn't need anyone's help to build himself 4. Justin switch with the dog - This is reference to Filipino term "dogshow" used when you are clowning/making fun of something/someone. It can either be you're making fun of another person or you're making fun of yourself. It's "dogshow" because on literal dog shows, the dogs are being displayed to the public to make "tricks" who else does "tricks"?---- Clowns. 5. SB19 no eyebrows scene - If you raised your eyebrows on someone, you're judging them, right? Or being mean to them. On the MV the lyrics says to burn their brows. In PH there is this saying when you are studying hard, "nagsusunog ng kilay" which means burning their brows because their faces are buried on the book. So they're probably saying that instead of raising your eye brows on someone (judge them) why don't u just burn your brows (study) because the haters are basically dumb. EXTRA: Not a Filipino reference but at the end, the alien scene, they're actually mocking their Alab MV. (watch alab mv again and focus on the last part) This is because during that time they are fully managed by their Korean management SBT which made them do things they don't want to do as the group. In Alab MV, for example, they are promoted as "PPOP" but the MV literally starts and ended with someone speaking in Korean so PH netizens bashed SB19 about being a KPOP wanna be, no originality, and having no Filipino roots in their music.

-GENTO is actually a real word that has different meanings, depends on it's culture. It is commonly refers to a person or a group of persons. -Cavitenos speaks the word GENTO means "like this" in English. -I think SB19 didn't used it as a "wordplay" in their song; the word GENTO is used in it's specific meaning. like when the lyrics of the song is about mining a rare stone...GOLD as we sees from the segment of the MV. The word GENTO is not used as/for a clever and witty word and meaning. GENTO is ginto or gold in English. It is what it is. Where's the wordplay in that? -Here's one example - When a boy asked a girl if he has a chance... "May pag-asa ba ako?" and the girl answered "Ewan" "Siguro" or "Baka" etc.. It means YES (high possibility that the boy has a chance). Most Filipino girls doesn't want to answer directly "YES" to that kind of question. Pakipot muna ng konte, syempre! But if the girl doesn't like the boy, She will instantly answer... "not a chance", "wala" or "walang pag-asa". Right?!-no wordplay used here. Wordplay -is all the ways a writer can manipulate words to create a new or surprising meaning. -is the clever and witty use of words and meaning.
