Ali Express Dimebag guitar - 1 Year on. Yes, I removed the logos....

This is the final installment of the Ali Express Dimebag guitar. In this video, I address a number of the comments that were made over the past year. These include a link to the guitar, how long it took to receive, what was done to it, how 'immoral' it was for me to buy a Chinese guitar and have Dime's name on it, how well it stays in tune a bit more.

I got sick of buying $1000 guitars and not being happy so i started buying kits with an extra neck so ive always got a new level and crowned neck to put on

OH MY GAWD, will people just give it a rest? Nobody cares if it has a name on it or not, but it IS a lot cooler when it does have one. I mean, are you going to let OTHER PEOPLE determine your happiness? Who are they to judge? I think you should put Dimebag's face on the headstock and his name all over the body. Rock and Roll is about rebellion, pure and simple. How are you going to be a Rocker if you're conforming to the "ethics" of other people? I say, fuck 'em all.

Believe it or not some people are stupid enough to think it's real and pay a lot more. Dime was not a corporation though his guitars were produced by one and I would never rip him off by having a 'replica' that could ever be mistaken for the real thing. What i see here is a cool guitar that is more a tribute and that makes sense to me

Ive considered getting one that's already done like this, but if I might have to do some routing. And replace the hardware, I think the kit would be a better choice for me.

Perhaps, I just was not very confident in getting the colour the way I wanted. You could even try and give guitar store the dimensions of the particular trem you’re looking at and see if they can route it?

It took about a week to get from China to Australia, then customs kept it for about a week more and then it was delivered a few days later.

Do you think a Floyd 1000 or special would drop in easier? What about the gotoh caused you to need to route?

I’m not really sure if the Floyd 1000 drops straight in, but some people have said that it does. I didn’t entertain the idea of getting that Trem because it was more expensive than the Gotoh. The string retainer screws are the main problem for not allowing the Gotoh to fit. The posts are also in slightly different locations.
