The amount of times that fish safety is shared about social media and being mentioned in videos, it's amazing how this "magic twig" product even went into production. The bad things with it outweigh the good by a long way. A trigger system to set the hook is just NOT needed! What's wrong with a bigger lead and hook? The potential to rip mouths etc has to be high with this. What if the fish starts thrashing in the net once landed, those arms are getting all caught up in the net and risk damaging the fish, you get a cut off, it's trailing alot of stuff with it as those arms do not break! They just open right up, risk of tethering fish up. It's just a massive hazard in my opinion and no suprise at all it's being banned everywhere!! Good!

Never been fortunate to fish that lake, but think if you took the twig out of situation results would of been same, just another product to catch anglers and confuse novices. Simple rigs in the right place catches fish

I'm quite lucky to live in a area that as quite a few natural wild waters with decent size fish in them albeit low stock and very very challenging, 1 bite a month if your lucky but each fish is more rewarding, it as that 90's old school vibe about it. I'd rather catch 1 wild carp about 15lb from a difficult water than catch endless twenties in an overstocked puddle.

Suppose money talks and then you can get onto any syndicate lakes in uk . Even with a waiting list , just a shame theses lakes many well known anglers fish don’t tell the full story . You have to know someone that’s already on syndicate before getting on waiting list 😅 as I said if you got £10k to give the owner you can fish any where and not a normal low earning run of mill carp angler

The only certain capture in Angling is the angler. These videos are just marketing tools designed to capture the anglers. Look at me with my brace of 50's using the twig! If Ali is catching 50's then I am buying the twig. Just go out, enjoy fishing and stop watching these videos. That way, it elevates pressure on the blanks, which we all get, it's not hitting our pockets because we use the stuff we need and not the stuff we don't need, I.e latest alarms, reels and twigs. Tight lines everyone.

But it's seemingly put grown men around the bend, making ridiculous generic comments like yours which are completely unfounded. I had a look at some in a local tackle shop and they told me that they're selling out in their shops and online. A couple of hundred white van men with dubious motivations winding each other up about a product and getting all red faced, and they think that every carp angler on the planet thinks the same way.
