The amount of times that fish safety is shared about social media and being mentioned in videos, it's amazing how this "magic twig" product even went into production. The bad things with it outweigh the good by a long way. A trigger system to set the hook is just NOT needed! What's wrong with a bigger lead and hook? The potential to rip mouths etc has to be high with this. What if the fish starts thrashing in the net once landed, those arms are getting all caught up in the net and risk damaging the fish, you get a cut off, it's trailing alot of stuff with it as those arms do not break! They just open right up, risk of tethering fish up. It's just a massive hazard in my opinion and no suprise at all it's being banned everywhere!! Good!

The only certain capture in Angling is the angler. These videos are just marketing tools designed to capture the anglers. Look at me with my brace of 50's using the twig! If Ali is catching 50's then I am buying the twig. Just go out, enjoy fishing and stop watching these videos. That way, it elevates pressure on the blanks, which we all get, it's not hitting our pockets because we use the stuff we need and not the stuff we don't need, I.e latest alarms, reels and twigs. Tight lines everyone.

I think the magic twig is a good idea but I think it should be banned on certain waters like weedy lakes and very snagged up lakes for fish safety but on clear waters with no snags and light weed should be fine

These aren't even semi domesticated fish, they're pets. The owner even fed them for Ali to catch. Where's the skill in that? Ali's doggid determination has to be applauded re the death rig but come on! Nice touch letting a peasant come and fish and giving some money to charity but as we all know charity begins at home. It's a shame what Ali is doing to the sport and I for one will be glad when he fades away from angling and puts his talent into something that that will earn him the money he so blatantly craves.
