His biography? He graduated from National College of Arts (NCA, Lahore). He made a drama with his classmates there (including Ayesha Omar, now an actress). He was a painter at Pearl Continental Hotel (PC, Lahore) before being a singer. His first song was "Channo" which kick started his pop music career.

Hey guys, thanks for reacting to this. Don't really know if you'll see this comment. Anyway, Coke Studio is from Pakistan and so is Ali Zafar. Coke Studio is sort of a national music band or something and it releases a whole new season ever year in Pakistan featuring various artists who are from Pakistan. The seasons consist of episodes. One episode contains four or five songs with various artists. You should check them out cause recently Pakistan has been getting a lot hate so its nice to see you guys react to it. Ali Zafar was born in Lahore, Pakistan and he has been in some Indian movies as well. Anyway, cheers guys. You're both very sweet 😇
