I absolutely loved this look! I did my own makeup for my wedding 9 years ago, I didn’t trust anyone else to do it because I now what I like, besides I’m very pale and have red hair, and other people are always trying to bronze up my skin which I hate! Where I’m from weddings typically will start early, around 10/11 am on a Saturday and will go on as long as there are people there! Some people also do a “second day” party with friends and family, a more casual thing where you eat up most of the leftover from the wedding day, or even have a barbecue. In our case we started at 2pm and ended around 10pm because it was a holiday on a weekday. It was fab and lovely, real low-key ❤️

Where I'm from weddings are a long and arduous affair, some can last 3 days, some take 2 weeks or a month with breaks in between as we typically celebrate on both bride and groom sides. I wouldn't change a thing about my own, well except for maybe the photographer 😅

5:17 THANK YOU for saying this. I had a friend once tell me that I know nothing about professional makeup just because I told her that I personally prefer applying foundation first. I personnally use a tissue under my eyes if I'm applying a dark eye shadow. Never had marks or fall out. Weddings in the U.S. that I’ve attended really vary, sometimes they are a whole weekend of festivities and others are just a half-day of events :) I’m not married or engaged, so I can’t comment on anything I’d change, but I think my goal would be to have a classic & timeless make-up look, just like you did here!

My niece forgot the blue on her wedding. I was there in a blue dress with a baby blue handbag. So she took my handbag for some minutes while greeting guests with champagne. She then said, well, I carried something blue on my wedding now. It worked, very happy marriage. A son and a daughter, both sweet and adorable and keeping their parents busy.

So beautiful! 👏💕. I’m from Sweden and our weddings usually starts on a Saturday at around 3pm and goes on late in to the night. But anything goes and you can also add brunch the next day for people and family that has travelled to the wedding. I got married at 23 so we did a lot ourselves, including my makeup which I really liked. It was ME, not some face put on - even though I would enjoy this type of makeup as well. Thanks!! 💞/Anna

I'm from Indonesia. We have probably hundreds different wedding traditions varied from each region. But mostly, weddings last either one full day to 2 days. My sister's wedding lasted for 4 days! I really enjoy your content Andreea! I think you're one of the most consistent beauty youtuber nowadays. I really enjoyed this look. I don’t think there’s anything I would’ve changed about my wedding look. I had a vintage theme. I had an updo with a hairband, and bold red lip color with a subtle neutral smoky eye. I like it when brides have a whole look that’s tied together, it makes them look like more bridal and polished.

Our weddings in Hawaii usually start a few hours before Sunset (both inside and out) and always include Hawaiian touches--e.g., Hawaiian music, a chant, a Hawaiian blessing, flowers. The bride often wears the modern version of the traditional holoku-style dress, strings of white pikake lei form her "necklace", and , flowers in her hair. The groom, if it's a religious ceremony inside, wears closed shoes, and anything from a casual suit to slacks and a sport coat. If the wedding is outside, it's acceptable for the groom to wear nice jeans or shorts, a conservative aloha shirt, and thongs or bare feet. His bride on the beach typically still prefers to dress in bridal attire but with bare feet and beautifully pedicured feet. Wise couples of all colors lather on sunblock, and plan ahead based on the tides, predicted wind direction & speeds, and a possible rainfall blessing. Chinese receptions seem to be the biggest. Many more guests than at the wedding. All sit-down tables of 10, 7-course, 3+ hours. Other very large weddings have small reception dinners, and anything in between. Local Hawaiian receptions involve massive amounts of luau food prep and plant gathering for days before, including roasting a pig (or 2) underground (kalua pig) and prepping it once cooked, and the luau and kanakapila-style (impromptu) music and dance into the nite. Every wedding here has its own style bc we are a joyful mix of many immigrants, we still respect and celebrate one anothers' cultures and traditions, and so far at least, we view each of them as shared precious treasures,

I love a good Romanian wedding. In Japan, it`s a two hour affair max and super expensive: as guest, you are expected to give an envelope with either 30,000, 50,000 or more yen. A 10,000 yen bill is considered too cheap. The numbers 2, 4 and 6 are considered unlucky because the sounds are similar to death, suffocation and hanging. So you should not give sums of money using these numbers. There`s a wedding guest "uniform" for women: they all wear short cocktail dresses in surprisingly bland colors like grey, beige, black, brown. They also all wear the same store-bought hair buns. In a way, it`s nicer than Romanian weddings, where everyone is there to show off and some women tend to dress in really gaudy outfits. It`s almost like Japanese women have an unspoken, mutual contract to let the bride shine and not compete with her. The bride changes her dress 2 or 3 times, from the white wedding dress to a kimono to a party dress. After the main party, Japanese guests break up into groups according to age and interests and go have their own separate parties at bars or restaurants.

I love your work. I wish I had known you 16 years ago. On the 30th of July my husband and I will be celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. I could say that our wedding started a week before the reception as all the relatives began to arrive. We partied with friends and relatives every night for a week and on Saturday morning begann the actually wedding. It lasted until 7 AM next morning and I have to say because it was the hottest day that year (30° C at midnight) I chose not to ware make-up just waterproof maskara and lipglos. I still don't regret it . You are right the love and happiness I felt were enough that day. Thank you for making me remember. Love your tutorials.
