I rarely wear concealer anymore. I’m almost 49 and nearly every concealer makes my under eyes & skin look dry and I’ve tried so many that I’ve given up. I look better without it. Great video & information!

I can’t live without a peachy corrector!!! Even if I’m going out without makeup I always use a tiny bit! I used to use the Benfit Boi-ing concealer (use to be called Erase Paste) but now I’ve been using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Peach & I LOVE it!!

Do people really think concealer is meant for just the undereye? Man, that’s my Magic Eraser. I need that more than I need even a foundation because of how multitasking it is. Elf is a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape. Maybelline Age Rewind in your shade works great for mature or dry skin and the new Milani concealer is fantastic if you need an in between concealer (hydrating yet has umph for coverage.) MUR another great drugstore option. My favorite is and will always be the Age Rewind... covers while being a thin formula.

Thank you! I’m lucky to have a similar skin tone to you, so a lot of the colors you use work for me. If my under eye area is very dry and I want my concealer to look amazing I put a very hydrating cream on and hydrogel patches before doing my make up.

8:40 My tips for viewers on what’s my foundation colour: best way is to try a and get a top 3 closest. One warm, one cold and one middle. This will be a little bit more expensive but foundations also last longer, so no worries. Now you can mix on the back of your hand or on a pallet to get a colour that’s as close to your own as possible.

Thank you for this video! It is because of you I bought the nars radiant creamy concealer and I must say I'm not really happy with it. Even hours after I apply it it is still wet, I feel like it never sets and I use very little. I use concealer every day (no foundation) and I have to recommend the double wear one by Estee Lauder - it has great coverage, little goes a long way and sets perfectly without powder. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to us all

Thank you for covering this topic. It's that I have the most problems with. I'm 42 and have dry undereyes and wrinkles and I don't like the concealer to be super bright and light. I tried sooo many products so far but I find the best for me are Mac Studio Fix 24h in NC 35 and Huda Beauty in 12G, both applied after Clinique apricot corrector, as Andreea mentioned. I set with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder and still sometimes my wrinkles show up more during the day. I also prime my undereyes before applying any concealer.

Andreea, you should record a 2021’s version to this video! Love your tips; I am going to follow all of them. But I missed a more detailed explanation about how setting the concealer with powder. It can look obvious for you, amazing MUA, but I always have difficult with it! I have very light skin (Mont Blanc from Nars) and currrent use the Laura Mercier’s eye setting powder.

I had the same problem so I switched under eye powder to Elf the white/translucent pressed powder. Even though it’s pressed it’s a very fine light weight powder and doesn’t darken the concealer. The loose translucent powder I’m using on the rest of my face would make the concealer darker and cakey so it was very frustrating. Also I added a light layer of Vaseline to my under eyes at night to lock in the moisturizers which has helped to plump up my under eye areas.

Hey Andrea! I must say i am your no.1 fan! I started to watch your videos when i had to prepare my make.up for my wedding....it went just perfect!!! Its very important to have a mosturised skin before you put concealer of foundation. Embryolisse lait creme concentre is amazing for dry skin, especially for winter. Tarte shape tape is a very good product and cheap. Ebay its a good option if you can't find it in store. I was wondering if you can tell us more about your skincare routine; what did you try lately regarding creams, gels, face brushes etc. Its always a pleasure to watch and learn from you. The concealer I'm using is making my under eyes look green-ish. I think, like you say, that I'm using the wrong colour. My concealer is 'fair' but I use 'neutral' foundation. Thank you for this video.

I started using Elf pressed powder, the white translucent one, to gently touch up. Also the Morphie setting spray really helps to lessen that effect.

I always struggle with what concealer is good for me .I am 64 pretty good genes in skin but dry not dark under my eyes and concealer make it worsen the appearance accentuating my lines wrinkles .I have a drawer full of concealers and I don’t know if I liked one but I will try to use with some moisturizer to see what happens. Maria Laura Orsini - I always use a peachy/apricot corrector under my eyes & I use a more warm tones concealer over it. You could also use cool to enhance the peachy pink corrector, just depends on your skins undertone. I would stay away from neutral tho bc that can cause a grayish look under the eyes

About choosing the color, I am not sure wether I am one whose easy to please or the girls at makeup store are really good at picking the right color. I always go with the first shade they recommend, I've never tried a second option at all!
