Sadly no one will listen to this. I never understand how things like this will go on through time unnoticed... This song is a masterpiece. How, HOW does one have this in their head.. mind-blowing

I just discovered that album and those 2 artists. Love the atmosphere, the music, the style, the tone, everything. A very peculiar piece of music, kudos to them for innovating :) Just read your comments and saw that one of them passed away, which sadly makes that LP even more unique, like a comet in the sky!

I can tell, just from this one amazing song, that this album is a masterpiece. Alias' beautiful beats and Doseone's storytelling mastery...R.I.P. Alias, I can only wonder how much inspiration he gave to all the people of anticon. and in his life. His legacy lives on.

This one is my favorite by Doseone. Fact Colossal and Derby of Days are my other favorites. This song is a warning against being consumed and shackled by your fears and doubts. Don't abandon the sense of adventure and novelty that we were all born with that makes us want to explore and grow. Fear serves a purpose to protect us from death, but fear can easily become a trap that prevents us from ever living a life worth living. Organizations and people will often try to bend your fears into a cage around you so that they can take your freedom and personal agency and use it for their own purposes. Too often people let their fears wind around them so tight and so long that they either waste away their whole lives until they're too old, dull, and sick to create anything or start a family, or they kill themselves just to escape the burden of their situation -- but if our instincts evolved to keep us alive and well, why do we let them be a leash to drag us to our misery and early death?

Agency adjudicators have wrapped my fear like a metal cocoon around me. Now my fear that was my own; played with and tabulated manifest proximally to my disintegration... Oh how alphabet boys will zung from cradle to grave blocking the light that was never theirs with mirrored spires to contain the contaminant that compliments eternally present artifacts in the edifices of my mind. If you see this light refracted, then a way to glimpse the high towers reflected in soul worn weary impedance still manufactured belly of the beast american shadows casting shadows into the nightmare relm.
