Sound design is also freaking amazing, the crack and whip of a round whizzing past your head is scarily realistic, the weight of footsteps running toward your position from around the corner or through the brush lets you know that stuff is about to go down. The game tries to adhere to logic in every other aspect, like seeing your fire selector switched to the setting you last had that weapon on when you view it in your stash. It would be extremely innovative and impressive if every container of food could somehow retain an animated level of the actual amount left, but considering that one can of beans could travel from a spawn point to your pockets to some guy who bought it on the flea market, that sort of mechanic would be like LEGENDARY in terms of what games can do. They’ve already done so much to stick to logic
