Alibre Design - Too Tall Toby's Brace Plate

In this video I demonstrate the modeling of Too Tall Toby's Brace Plate part. This one through me a little 'til I remembered that I had done one similar a while ago.
The take-away is the use of a Plane along a sketch and Insert Axis from Sketch to add reference items to aid modeling.

Very cool approach. The first time I did it fromt hat old competition model, I did only the first slant plane, gave the 1.5" dimension and then extended the shape way below the floor. I extruded and did a delete face. But this approach is actually really clean. I like it! Thanks, Harold!!! Massive Thanks for the shout out!

First time I did it I also extended the shape below the plate but drew a sketch and removed the lower part with an extrude cut. Second time I thought I would experiment with remove face but I couldn't make it work.

​@@stub8453One cool tip with remove face is to turn off real time preview before starting to select faces. Because as soon as you select the first one it'll try to generate the preview and throw an error. And that slows you dow and confuses you a bit. Whereas, if you have turned off, it will check for a result only when you hit Ok. Or turn real time preview back on

I leave RTP (real time preview) on and have noticed that sometimes Delete Face will error (OK button turns Salmon color) until you select ALL the faces of the piece to remove. And it depends on the order you select the faces, sometimes you need to select all and sometimes only a few. Odd behavior. It takes some experimenting and each time it could be different.

Thanks, and Yes, I think that is based on user experience. And there is no one way that is correct, maybe just some more efficient at getting to the end result.
