Idiots that keep things in the bank like Gold are the reason why banks are so cheap (as in, not paying better interest rates and stuff). Idiots pay to keep their stuff locked in a bank. Gold is an investment. Why would you pay someone to guard it for you? As an investment, that literally eats up ANY return you would make off of it. You dont sound like you know enough about wealth to be talking where you should put it. I have some Gold in my house. If you can get through the doors, I have a .38 special, a .45 and a shotgun you will have to contend with as well. And because I dont have to pay someone to hold onto my Gold, it only goes up in value (as long as the market does)
