I recently rewatched the L Word and fell in love with Dana and Alice relashionship all over again, I know this video is sad but I hope you’ll still enjoy it. I remember watching The L Word for the first time when I was 13/14 back in 2016/2017 and Alice and Dana were a great couple. Such a heartbreaking end for their relationship with Dana’s cancer storyline which later lead to her death. The L Word is such a great 2000’s TV show. I started tearing up and crying when Alice did her speech in remembrance of Dana’s life in The L Word Gen Q as it brought back so many memories of The L Word. Now I’m nearly 19 and time flies.

To this day, killing off Dana is the worst mistake L word ever made, and that’s saying a lot with a season where Kit is going to kill the Shane wanna be and her lover Cindy, mixed with a “who shot Mr Burns” last season and the disaster that is Generation Q. Erin Daniels was the funniest actress on the show and looking at interviews, it’s clear her, Leisha Hailey and Kate Moenning were actually close friends and Dana + Alice is the OTP. There should be an alternate timeline where Ilene doesn’t fuck it up simply because Erin Daniels made fun of the show on the DVD commentary.

Yeah, couldn't agree more. Ilene has admitted many times publicly that killing off Dana was a huge mistake. And I am totally with you that killing off Dana was a HORRIBLE mistake, even worse than the disaster that was season 6. Had they kept Dana, it would've been interesting to see what would've happened, if her and Alice would've been endgame, or if they had paired her off with someone else...but Alice & Dana had awesome chemistry and really got each other and fit together well, so losing her after season three...and also breaking her and Alice up & then turning Alice into a babbling, stalkery, fragile mess also in season 3 was just an awful move.

I watched the first version of this video in as of 2007 or so. It captivated my attention ever since. And gave a try to watching the entire seasons of TLW. (All the way until the fifth, I guess; I didn't stand the fifth for as long as it lasted, to be honest, and many years later I learned there was a last, awful sixth season) As I watch this newer version of that old video (which even had another background song, different from this current one) I can't refrain myself from feeling the same emotions I experienced back then. I have to acknowledge TLW for boosting and encouraging me into finding my own ways of express things through performing arts. Some day i will take up the courage to go and watch it all from first to last season, and maybe I will an answer to many of the questions I kept inside of me all these years. GOD bless the girls, in fiction and real world. :)

Fan from the UK here..... This made me so emotional watching this back fantastic video. I have to say the worst mistake was killing off Dana I really believe that Alice loved dana like no other person that Alice has loved. I believe their love was strong and real and Alice during that scene where she was sobbing when she saw dana died. 😢😢😢😢💔💔 Phenomenal acting from Leisha Hailey I felt so bad for Alice no other fictional character has made me cry like that before. I hope Alice really finds her happiness but for me it will always be Alice and Dana. I wanted to see more of them like a wedding between them etc i guess the writer's truly didn't think it through properly at the time. 😢❤️❤️

I completely agree and Lara really was a true "larcenist", she knew Dana was with Alice and she still blatantly hit on her by asking her to have dinner together in that flirty way. Dana just eagerly accepted, despite knowing how much it hurt Alice. I'm still angry about that storyline.
