@@taradevine6026 I’ve seen him only twice, although I had at least the past 35 years to see him. I caught him as the special guest on Motley Crue’s “final“ tour, and then again, two years ago with Ace Frehley opening for him. What an amazing showman!

@timopper5488 This was my second time as well. Last time he was headling with Rob Zombie. Remember seeing him on TV as a little kid in the 70s being both scared and fascinated at the same time.

@@taradevine6026 When my older brother vacated his room to join the Air Force when I was 13, and it became my room, one of the things he left on his wall was an ad for Alice Cooper’s fan club, with a kind of intimidating picture of him and the words “Join Or Die.” It was many years later before I got into his music, but that ad and the _command_ to “join or die” always fascinated and kind of shocked me, in a good way.

Me & my boyfriend went to a small venue in Seal Beach, CA back in the late 1960’s called Marina Palace. It was a small venue that burned down several decades ago but the foundation is still there. We were in the front rockin’ to the music. We went up to him after the show was over and he offered to take us to his place in the hills above the Sunset Strip. It was an amazing castle type place. Everybody was doing drugs and drinking but after a while it was getting out of hand. I felt scared which was weird as we both were hippies so we did a lot of drugs at the time. However, we both felt it was time to leave quickly and had to hitchhike home. We got picked up on Hollywood Blvd by a pink Cadillac convertible which was filled with black men who were really cool. They knew that we had to get through Compton to get home safely so they felt sorry for us. They took us as far as they could and we hitchhiked the rest of the way home. We were just happy that these guys were polite and felt sorry for us when we told them our story. So it’s a memory of a 73 yo woman who had lots of fun in the 60s& 70s. I Iditched the boyfriend & found a new one whom I married. Now for 55 years. We had our fun too. We went to many concerts at the Shrine in LA & a place in Hawthorne called the Blue Law. Also many pop festivals. We also hitchhiked to Tempe, AZ to go to Janis Joplin’s last concert. She was raving drunk and falling all over the place. The crowd was actually booing her. She overdosed a few months later.

Alice Cooper was my first concert ever when I was 16 and Love It To Death was the album he was performing. He was amazing to watch, full of energy. I remember turning 18 and listening to I’m Eighteen over and over and over. Now on each of my grandchildren’s 18th I play it for them!!

What about the the whole recording of “The Old Grey Whistle Test”? It ran for something like 26 minutes, had 5 recordings of Wheels and 2 recordings of Body. This recording was removed from all uploads on You Tube for some reason, as well as Ballad of Dwight Fry and Elected from 72. Please put these all back. They are all your recordings Alice. Hope you read these comments. Loved you since I was 11 years old back in 1969.

Neale Smith was a great drummer, Dennis Dunaway on the bass total rocker, Glen Buxton on lead guitar more than adequate until Billion Dollar Babies lost it so bad from drugs that the band had a guitarist hidden in the back to do the leads and Buxton didn't even know it. Bruce was a good rythum guitarist and Alice was great songwriter and had a heavy metal voice.
