Holy shit! That chemistry is still...so perfect! That is a signature sound that can't be replaced or replicated! It's the authentic, real killer sound of Alice Cooper!

Alice even sings differently when he's back with the boys !

Kelly Wright Yes you're very correct. It's like he took a step back in time.
@bigvrocks2480 Жыл бұрын
@@kellywright675 you're 100% right. When he's with the original AC guys, he's just one of he guys and not the whole show like he is with the backup band (who are really geat in their own right)...

Yep, Glen was the original 'bad ass' of the band and gave them their attitude!

This IS the Alice Cooper band and I know that people will disagree, but NOTHING that Alice did after "Muscle of Love", ever compared to what the ORIGINAL line-up put out. These guys worked too hard, too long, for them NOT to be playing together. Mike, Neal, Dennis and Alice, I STILL love you guys. Too bad GLEN didn't live to see this happen. Hey guys, release some NEW STUFF!!!

One of my biggest musical regrets was missing the BDB tour. I was only 12. It gives me a warm feeling seeing most of the COOPER family reunited here.

I was also at Leeds, and have been a huge fan since 1972 (but was too young to get to see the original band). Now i can die a happy man. Just a shame that Glen couldn't be here to join in.

Alice is performing with an energy that is not there without the original guys. He is just a different performer with the original band and really digging the moment. He's a totally energized performer with the original line-up. Good post!! Thank-you so much!

Alice and his wife sat behind me at First Baptist Church in Dallas 2017......didn't know he was behind me until I turned around to shake hands and suddenly looked up and we were eye to eye and hand to hand. Saw Alice in Dallas again at Dennis's book signing.....they played this line-up to about 250 of us!!!!!! Intimate up close and personal! Saw him in the 70's and Nightmare in 80"s.....our lives have crossed paths providentially......very special since we both are belivers.

My brother and I have seen Alice many times. We used to have posters all over our bedroom. My brother actually rode to Maryland in the back of a pickup truck from Ky. to see them when he was 15 . I will be 60 my next birthday. would love to take him to see the original lineup one more time.

I listened to the schools out album today. Alice Cooper has been a part of my life for about 45 years. I'm 60 now. I was going to see Alice Cooper in the 70s... but I wound up in jail for a few days and missed out. I loved this band, and was a bit of a rebel as a kid. Ah the good old days. Now it takes me all night to do what I use to do all night...

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this great video of this great show. Live at Leeds! The original Alice Cooper, our American Beatles, the greatest American rock band, imo. So happy they performed together again. Missing Glen, very sadly.. Ryan Roxie is perfect playing with our Original Guys. His great spirit and respect for the OGs make him a great welcome presence. I hope for the chance to see the reunited original Alice Cooper in the U.S. The San Francisco Bay Area loves you guys! The Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View is a really great place for a summer or fall show, hint hint..

Not really. Zappa pretty much thought they were a joke. Pretty much washed his hands of them after the first album because they didn't want to do any of his ideas (eg--changing name to Alice Cookies! Using Herb for their manager, etc). Begrudgingly let them do a second record. Even though Alice and Co loved and respected FZ they thought he was a real jerk in regards to how he handled them during their tenure on his lable. But he did take a chance on them, which got them "in the door" so he gets credit for that.
@Bertorama6 жыл бұрын
I want to see and hear MORE of the original band. Alice should should split up the material between the two lineups with his current band playing only the post 1975 material and leaving the classics to be played by the original band to close the show. I want to hear Hali of Flies, Desperado, I love the dead, Caught in a dream, Is it my body, Guttercats vs The Jets, ETC...

The "Gunslingers" know EVERY AC tune from soup to nuts... ALICE chooses what gets played, & what there just ain't time for... So thinking that by having the "Hall`o Famers" (Minus Glen, of course... So, it's Not really the "Original" band, is it?) playing Instead of the "Touring band" affects what songs get played, that's simply incorrect.

Starting back around 1970 we used to frequent a venue in SW Michigan called THE GRAND HAVEN ROLLER RINK AND BALLROOM. held 200-300 people or so. Besides The Stooges, MC5, Bob Segar, Savoy Brown, SRC and many others, Alice Cooper used to play there when their stage prop consisted of a screen door missing the screen, Alice sitting on it in the middle of the audience, singing, "No body loves me." a couple years later, they're playing arenas. at one of which (in Muskegon, MI) my 1st wife knocked him unconscious during the middle of the concert. Back in those days you could get right up to the stage, maybe not always such a good idea...lol Although it was not her intention to do him any harm i read a few years later that he thought he was being attacked. at that time they were my favorite band since thry were one band I'd never miss. Couple years later Alice fired the band and once i heard WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE i never really ever cared for anything he did all that much. to me it sounded too much like Alice had gone Hollywood.
