I remember watching the trailer, and then eagerly awaiting the release of the film. On the night of the premiere, we all crowded into the local bughouse and were thrilled by the mighty wurlitzer while twaiting for the curtain to be raised. It was my first film so I did not know what to expect, and I found it mind-blowing, little knowing what the future would hold, with talkies and then television.

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing all the jump cuts are from areas of the film that were so badly deteriorated that they just cut them from the video instead of showing the unedited reel. If that's the case, I would've preferred the full reel with all the bad spots as opposed to all the jump cuts. Having the full reel would just seem more realistic somehow, even with all the deterioration.

I think this is not, i mean there are a lot of movie (like six or seven) who were made from 1895 to 1903, but this is one of the first film that we're made based on a book.
