Still my favorite and must ride when we go. Since a child this one has made me happy, happy. The thought of going inside a "dark ride" and coming out high up was magical since you don't notice as a child you are climbing inside. This and Peter Pan were musts as a child and still are.

I know how you feel, because Disneyland is a great theme park to go on vacations or trips to in times of when you're stressed out about doing things for people you know and trust who aren't capable of doing everything themselves in times of trouble. when i was about 6 i was in love with this ride. but no matter how much i loved it, i was always scared of it. i felt like the doors would close at the end and the ride would shut down and i'd be trapped in wonderland. *shivers*

Alice has been around since 1958 and still remains. If you were at the Matterhorn looking at the Tea Cups, Alice is a little to the left. - _ RU

This is actually one of the better dark rides.You get that bit in the middle where you get to go outside and look around a bit, then it's not over!

When we first rode on this ride, towards the end, my dad was like, "What?! I didn't see Alice", and then my little cousin said, "I did. She was hiding."

DisneyWorld, 1 day, in the traffic season - wow that is going to be tough. My suggestion is to pick which Park carefully and then plan on what you want to ride - hit those 'must sees' and then anything after that is bonus. - - RU

That is a very interesting observation. Well, there is the new Pirates of the Caribbean with Jack Sparrow and now Pirates Lair (formerly Tom Sawyers Island.) And if I really wanted to stretch it - Peter Pan's ride plus the Peter Pan segment of Fantasmic - but that may be going a step too far.

This ride rocks! See the movie again before you go on it. It was a 30 minute line when we went but it goes quickly. And yes, it is only in California, no other Disney park.

Interesting ride. I used to taken to Blackpool UK, where they have an Alice Ride. And there are some common factors. Apart from the inside bits, both rides have the elevated entry and exit, but the UK is same level for both points. What I like about this, is the second tunnel, just as you think the ride is about to end. The Uk version is not as high tech as this one, (1966 I think), lots of black lights, and trippy painted sets, and lots of puppet work

If you walk through the Castle from Main Street keep going straight. On your left would be Snow White and on your right is Peter Pan. Right in front of you is the carousel. Before you get to the carousel there is a tiny garden and right there is the sword stuck in the stone. Several times a day (check the guides) there is a ceremony where Merlin will come out and one child is able to 'remove' the sword from the stone. -- RU

Since the Park did not open until 1955 it would have been hard for the ride to open in 1951. The ride, in which we are talking about opened in June 58. The Disney movie was released in 51 which is what you are referring to. - - RU

@Shilaisfamous Disneyland Park in California is the only Disney theme park to have an Alice in Wonderland ride. Disney World (the name of the resort is Disney World, the Disneyland of Disney World is called Magic Kingdom) only has the teacups. Disneyland Paris is the only park to have the Labyrinth, though ;)

Snow White was a triple with the ride, the musical stage production in the Fantasyland Theater and Snow White's Garden/Wishing Well. With the musical gone she is back down to just 2 (I wouldn't count just seeing her in Fantasmic; that is a princess moment rather then a Snow White moment.) Does the King Arthur Carousel and the Sword in the Stone ceremony count? Sorry, getting a tad bit carried away. - -RU

No, Alice is still at Disneyland. It is next to the Tea Cups and across from the Matterhorn. It is easy to miss if you are not really looking for it. - - RU

Alice is so pretty even though I didn't have a photo with her yet. I'm planning to tell her about kittens, because I 💕 them very much. She does own a kitten named Dinah. In fact, my mom bought me a 12 pack gift set of Disney Wonderland tea which is an assortment of individually wrapped tea bags with each character on the 📦s in regards to the different flavors of tea that's good to drink once in a while. The name of the place that she bought it was 🍬 Palace which is located in the middle of Main Street, USA. Do you like to drink tea, ru42? 👍🏻 if you agree with plenty of fantasy spirit.

@DevilReadsVogue ...Here are some attractions unique to Disneyland in California: ...Alice in Wonderland (as you see here), Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pinnochio's Daring Journey, Indiana Jones Adventure, and the first steel tubular rollercoaster ever built (I think?) - The Matterhorn. DisneyWorld is made up of 4 differently themed parks - the "Magic Kingdom" park is most like D'land. I hope this clarifies and that you are able to visit Disneyland or DisneyWorld someday.

@DevilReadsVogue Disneyland is the original park that Walt Disney himself created in California, USA. DisneyWorld is in Florida, USA, and was built some years later. I prefer the original, as there is something magical about it :) Although I'm sure if you are a native Floridian, you might prefer DisneyWorld. Both parks have most of the same attractions, but there are some attractions Disneyland (California) has to offer that are unique and are only at "the land": I'll send you a second post.

I've never been on this ride ( I've only been to disney world I dont know if they have it there?) but it doesnt realy look that great, I think they could have done better. I like what ct2004 said about the maze idea, that would be cool, they could make it in black light... like lasor tag, I think that would make it more realistic and colorful.

Yes, it is a reference to the movie since later in the movie he becomes a butterfly and his shoes are left on the mushroom.
