The fact that the story was like a fairytale version of the events when Durin was unconsciously attacking Mondstadt (but he was just misunderstood, he just wanted friends). Remember, Durin bore no ill will towards Venti or Dvalin and wished that they could met under better circumstances. This one could be an opportunity for him to meet the two of them, especially when Alice revealed that this version of Durin could go to and explore Teyvat.

That's Durin's actual soul, put by Alice in M's story.. High level dragonkind never dies but just reborn. Elynas never died, his soul (Melusine form) just sealed his heart. Neuvi was reborn in a humankind body as Egeria recreated it for him. I theorize one of Alice's actual power is soul creation/manipulation. It's probably how she is able to infuse life to inanimate objects. The ones in the book probably are the dead denizens of Teyvat so they could live another chance in life. She will probably make them a reality and come out to the wolrd pf Teyvat once they completed all the chapters in their life story.

So the traveller made Durin with the help of Rhinedottir this story implies that Durin first came from a fairytale written by "M" otherwise known as Andersdotter and landed in Mondstadt? Ehm...and Albedo happens to live in Mondstadt as well Rhinedottir chose and put him in Mondstadt to meet up with the traveller. This . RIiiight. Why choose Mondstadt of all places. "Since you got the travellers blessing you might even be able to visit other worlds" What is going on. If the traveller is responsible for the creation of Durin the traveller is responsible for what happened in Mondstadt. If the traveller never visited Simulanka Durin would never have the ability to become real. If Durin never was created in the first place, Dvalin would never be able to become as strong as he is. Almost like it was fated to happen to make Dvalin the sovereign of Anemo. Kind of like how Neuvilette broke out from amnesia with the help of the Fontaine prophecy. It more or less proves that the hexenzirkel members are also trying to free the sovereigns and this makes things much more interesting. It explains why Alice is not angry with Rhinedottir rather greats her as a member of the family even tho she is considered a Sinner. The Hexenzirkel can't change fate, so Durin in real life had the same tragic fate as he did in Simulanka. What is interesting here is that the mages were willing to gamble on Durin being saved or she predicted that the traveller would end up saving him, since past and future is very murky in Theyvat ever since Istaroth vanished. But they are also willing to gamble on the safety of Theyvat by creating Durin in the first place, they almost seem more protective of Simulanka than they do of Theyvat.
