She had a myspace page years ago and she sent me something saying "hey check out my music." One listen and I was completely hooked, I enjoy everything about her. I just recently saw her in concert and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Her voice is HUGE and I love her lyrics, she is really a great storyteller. She does an awesome job at painting a pic for the listener. One of the best right here Rock On Alice!!

I love Alice Smith at this age. She reminds me of friends of mine. She's wonderful at any age though. She'll be wonderful at 60.

We haven't filmed her in a while, but I love that we have followed her from the first CD and you can see the growth in fashion and the nuance of her instrument. If you're getting a certain energy from her in the videos, imagine how it feels to be up close watching in the viewfinder. One of the best. Prince recognized. Real people know.

Wow, what a talent! When I hear her talk, it's a reminder of how the business will take it's ugly toll on you. It's really a rough business without proper management guidance, producer and 'PAYOLA'....Yes, I said it because it's real! In any case, I do pray that her killer performance in Black Girls Rock propels her to a level of her talent.....GGGGREATNESS!

Good interview. She seems like a soul searching woman who is intent to deliver her message as a singer/songwriter without the foolishness of what drives record sales. It would break my heart if she were never record again, but hey, a true album masterpiece deserves the time and the wait.
