same observation, even at my Winter palest, my face it's darker. I observed this also on others. I think it's what's underneath against the white skull, that comes true; on paler people the skin it's thinner(that guy from Modern Family comes to mind, to make me smile:"you are so light that you are transparent")

Use your eye socket as your starting point and blend your transition and crease shades up from there. All the space under that will be your new lid space! Near your brow always use a very light matte shade to blend out the darker transitions. You can top that with shimmer when you're done too. My mom has the same low brow shape and that's how I do makeup on her, and my eyes are super hooded and that's i've been loving that technique on myself.
