The scene where Alicia apologized to Duke, to me is Alicia indirectly confessing to Duke in a very roundabout way ^_^

4:54 “I’m slightly disappointed (that she didn’t lose her eye in a fighting incident.” To me whether it was from combat or here, giving her eye willingly is both shocking and saddening. It takes a lot of resolve and selflessness to give your eye to someone. 6:23 “Hey, our hairstyles match!” That’s what I commented on one of your “Do Over Damsel” reaction videos. ^^ Regarding your comments on how you can’t seem to get behind Alicia, such as get excited at the chin pinching scene, may be due to her portrayal. I too find it a bit difficult to love this character… in her many years of living, she hasn’t changed much and goes about the world lightly as if everything is a video game. As I mentioned earlier, giving your eye to someone is a huge sacrifice, but we don’t get to see any deep thoughts about it. That being said, though, these two past episodes we do see she’s getting affected by her and Duke’s relationship. It’s good to see those feelings. I wished they did more of that so that she seems like a real person.

This is just my speculation, but i have a feeling that Liz unconsciously transfers her bad feelings to others around her. So she seems then cheery and positive, but her fears and jealousy aren't gone, just projected. I think that's why we see so many other characters attacking Alicia. At least that is my theory right now.

I think the same. But more like, Liz's bad emotions, like jealousy, have a negative effect on the people around her, and vice versa.

I partially agree... But it doesn't explain, why Alicia and others can't sense magic outgoing from her or influencing others... I think, she absorbs every flicker of negative thoughts and emotions targeted at Liz and contains it... At the gathering, Liz suddenly emitted some form of aura, which changes the other's expressions ... but then it stopped and the affected people's face expressions changed back

I was on the fence with this one, but the reverse head tilt scene got me. Like every side character in this show is so shitty, I love it.

I have a theory about LIz's "influence" towards others... I think, the reason, why they can't notice any magic outgoing from her, is she absorbs something others have and maybe emitting... negative thoughts and emotions specifically towards Liz, which makes Liz the center for their happiness and attention ... Another theory of mine is... Liz actually is not the "Saint", actively using some kind of ability to convince or charm everyone she's the Saint. I'm not sure about this, but her behaviour and reactions tell me, she actively wants people to view her as a Saint, the source of everyone's happiness and center of all attention... When Alicia confronted her about the incident, Liz replied "I wouldn't... I mean, the Saint wouldn't do such a thing" Why did she make that distinction between her and the Saint when Liz and the Saint are supposed to be one and tze same person

You might have felt a little disappointed at the eye scene but the truth is that the anime adaptated it poorly. In the manga and LN it had a extra emotional charge, will felt really bad because Alicia gave one of her precious eyes to him and the scene goes as follows: Will: Alicia why have you done this? I never asked foe something like this. Alicia: I didn't do this out of good or because i care about you but because i wanted the person i admire to see how pretty i am and how roanna had changed. Will cried probably both of happiness and pain. Also the dark magic aint all fluffy and dreams in the manga Alicias face bled like she really had lost an eye.

Wow! I wish the anime had kept the same vibes as the LN because in the anime, it felt like yet another thing that Alicia was able to do with little difficulty

@23:30 Hmm you really think the characters are one dimensional? Well i think we can see now that Liz is not "just the saint". Something is going on with her. And even Alicia ... yes she wants to be seen as the villainess, but deep down she cares for other people like Will, Jill and Duke. I would not call that one dimensional.

I think Nina the Starry Bride and this show are the best two we are watching. Do Over Damsel is good but for me it is just silly.

Loosing an eye because an atack? why you want something so boring, something we have seen millions of times, how many times in the story of anime we have seen that the MC gives an eye to another person? 2, 3 maybe?.
