True story. I buy tickets for her concert September 13, 2001 in D.C. She just came out and was opening for Maxwell. 911 happened and the concert was cancelled, by the time they reissue the tickets in November, she no longer on the tour. Cuz she has gotten so big in music that she is headlining her own tour. Follow up, I bought tickets for her 2020 concert in Baltimore for August 2020. Guess what. Tour cancelled for Covid-19 pandemic. However I did see her for free when she performed at the Apollo Theater NYC 2016. Of course she did not disappoint.

Hey Jack, I really have to recommend you to listen to Runway, it is from Mariah's latest era. Runway is a Japan bonus track from her album CAUTION. She produced this one with Skrillex and it shows his love for Mariah's Butterfly album which he used to listen to it with his mom. Mariah sampled herself with the "fly" run from her song Butterfly and she sung that run in her whistle register over the belt at the end. She's a genius! Also, she sampled her other song, We Belong Together, by using the piano melody!
