All I've been able to piece together about the plot of cruelty squad is that resurrective immortality has been discovered, thus making life literally worthless, so your assassination targets are just to annoy them and inflict pain. And there's three endings, one for killing the concept of death, one for... becoming one with the concept of capitalism or something, and one where you kill the concept of life and reboot the universe to stop it from becoming a decaying undead husk anymore than it already was. And I have absolutely ZERO idea what was real dialogue and what was maxor dialogue.
