Okay about the Kendo thing, she is in fact female and identifies as female. Some fans, unfamiliar with Japanese culture, read her as NB or even Trans because she often uses masculine "I/me" when talking, but this is because she's an athletic tomboy not because she is NB/Trans. If she was NB she would be using much more neutral pronouns instead of gendered ones. This doesn't rule out being trans, however she does occasionally use female pronouns; typically while engaging in more feminine acts so it is very unlikely. The actual confirmed trans characters are Tiger and Magne being Trans-masc and Trans-fem respectively. For NB the representative seems to be Thirteen but some of that seems to be ambiguous in language and may be a case of cultural mistranslation it's not super clear.

ye the only thing I found about kendo being non binary or trans are literally tiktoks and random twitter posts. so yea hella unreliable to believe that when the show and characters call her a she constantly. I don't understand the Fandom's need to add The Lgbt to every character they see who isn't. There is literally a trans character in these very episodes (Magne) why feel the need to go and forcefully shove unconfirmed labels unto other characters. it's not like there's no representation in this show. and even if there wasn't that's the author's decision. the fandom is known for treating everyone as gay or lesbian or others so long as it isn't straight because then they get angry. so they're aren't a reliable source to begin with. they Feel the need to Shove headcanons into the show and get angry at those who don't agree. it's stupid and it's annoying. I'm part of the LGBT amd I just get annoyed whenever people assume headcanons of characters genders and shove them onto the rest of the fandom. like. For a group that supposedly hates when someone assumes their gender or sexuality they sure like to make baseless assumptions and headcanons that They treat as factual information. I just really dislike Hypocrisy.

@@DaichiOkami Same here, also LGBTQ also annoyed when people try to push their head canon too hard. Like it's great if something about a character resonates with you but don't try and shove it down other people's throats or get mad when they don't agree. Especially when, again, we have canon Trans-masc, Trans-fem, and lesbian characters and possibly NB but again the wording is a little ambiguous and may be a cross cultural miscommunication one way or the other. It's not some 80s or 90s series where "teh gay" was forbidden or something so finding representation is impossible and you want to relate to the character you resonate with more; this is a modern series with representation. If you want some extra, great! But don't go acting like people are phobic just because they aren't interested in your head canon.

I noted this in a separate comment, since MHA fandom tends to go beyond plus wild for their own canons, but if UA lets their students design their own costumes, then Kendo is actively portraying herself as feminine rather than a gender neutral outfit such as 13's suit. She wears a Qipao (female dress) combined with a double breasted coreset, and hasn't ordered many adjustments to its design.

I have no issue with people having their headcannons, just don't present them as actual cannon. If you write a fic where you want Kendo to be NB, that's fine! Great, even! But don't go around spreading the idea that she is NB when it's not a fact confirmed by the creator - who wouldn't have issues with saying it out loud if needed, based on the fact that the manga is pretty progressive in gender and romance presentations. If she were NB, we would know by now, just like we know that Tiger and Magne are trans, just like we know that Ectoplasm has prosthetic legs, etc.

I just love that you actually took notice of Spinner/Raphael Most people overlook him early on but he really does feel like the most human out of the villains. Maybe I identify too much with him and Shigaraki because we're all gamers lol. And next episode really cemented Tokoyami as one of my favourite characters especially with the potential of his quirk. If Dark shadow somehow overcomes it's issues with light, that thing is an absolute beast

I fucking love Aizawa's chat with Kota so much. Aizawa is doing the "Lawful Good" thing, following the rules to their fullest. He, as a teacher, _can't_ go to Midoriya and say "hey good job kid" because he can't encourage this type of behavior, of vigilante actions using his quirk without permission. _Of course_ Aizawa understands this situation is an exception, only Deku knew where Kota was, and had Aizawa been there when Mandalay asked him to find Kota, Aizawa would have absolutely instantly allowed him to fight if he needed to. The point is, even though in this edge case he did everything right, Aizawa can't really teach him this is okay. Next time Midoriya does something like this it could be under less understandable situations, and then it'd be Aizawa's fault for teaching him to act like that. So what does he do? He chats with Kota. "I can't praise him for this, it's stupid but I'm the teacher... But no rules say _you_ can't, so please, PLEASE tell him how amazing he was, because damn it I really want to do it myself."

Kendo definitely feels like a tomboy more than non-binary, and the character has not expressed a preference that I'm aware of. She's a girl that likes 'masculine' things -- black coffee, motorcycles -- but still wears a cute cheongsam for her hero uniform, participates in that one contest that I don't want to spoil, and is referred to as Class 1-B's "big sister."

It's still terrible to see Izuku running through the forest with both arms dangling. I love that everyone who sees him is concerned about his condition, while he is just worried about saving others, this is the perfect example to describe Izuku (for better or for worse). And then also, it feels good to have a bit of class B in the spotlight this time.

I mean, unless one is worried about additional charges should one's supervillainy fail, it is quite rational to pack a firearm. One of the things I like about a TTRPG I play (GURPS) is that some of the supplements covering Powers (super or otherwise) include how a lot of real world tech could be written up as... well... powers. The gear they're wearing as the Vanguard Action Squad was chosen for this mission. It's not a prison outfit (which we've seen elsewhere would be bright orange anyway). The strait jacket is something he chooses to wear, possibly to avoid accidentally slicing his own arms. Horikoshi has said in interviews that the design was inspired by Hellraiser's cenobites, who were BDSM-inspired themselves. 'Gimp suit' is fitting.

Few things The only non conforming to the "normal" ofsociety would be Tiger Magne and Toga as far as I remember for now Tiger and Magne are trans and Toga never says it directly but if you pay attentioon later on how she speaks of a few things you can notice that she has a thing for both boys and girls so yeah bisexual (or pansexual. I am not gonna lie I have no idea what the real difference is and people seem to argue about wich is correct so I jus leave both, if somone can explan thanks) As for the rest either not said anything or confiremed as straight but a (sadly) big part of the fandom decides to be unhindge and threaten the autor for not making more characters how they want, and they scream everywhere their headcanons. I don't really think Kendo is non-binary personally, evidence based on both season 2 and future events. Keep in mind, she quite literally designed her own Hero outfit which is based on a qipao (a Chinese dress worn typically by women) and is accompanied by a double breasted coreset. A highly fem outfit. She is probably more like a tomboy tbh. However, I believe Tiger (aka Mr Pussycat lol) is Transgender according to manga exclusive character sheets.
