The prep work is really great and such an awesome setup...Excited to see how the month unfolds in you dec. daily...I want to do one but thinking I'd forget to take a picture or pictures daily and document those days, daily!!! Tfs the process you get started with...

Ali I was wondering what software I needed at a minimum to be able to use your digital products to write our stories. Also, I believe last year you used these Avery tabs to add full spread photos to your book without having to use a page protector. I just wanted to know what that product was or am I making it up that you used something like that? Hehe

Hi - I recommend Photoshop Elements (you can do some things with Word but for the most benefit I'd go with Elements). Avery Tabs are the small plastic pieces that go along the edge of a page (aliedwards.com/shop/index-tabs-writable-inserts) - you might be thinking of plastic sheets from Grafix (to create a transparent page)?

Hi Beth! Welcome! I highly recommend checking out my archive of December Daily® blog posts: aliedwards.com/blog?tag=December+Daily®. There are a bunch of "getting ready" type of posts throughout the years. I generally prep some pages in advance and then during the month I focus on one story per day. I also have a Storytelling With December Daily® workshop that will be live on November 1 that is a great deep-dive into the project :).
