Watching this inspired me to tell a story I hadn’t even thought of! Dived into my photos and printed one ready to tell the story this afternoon. Some great tips.

Hi Ali, Great tips! I have taken long breaks over the years because sometimes life gets busy. Joining the December Daily group on Facebook got me back into scrapbooking last year. I finished my 2020 Christmas album, the first in many years! I really enjoyed the community aspect of the group, and being able to share and “socialize” was something I needed during quarantine. I think we often overlook the importance of our scrapbooking community & social aspect of this hobby, it’s an important one. It dragged me out of scrapbooking retirement! Loved seeing what everyone else was doing and wanted to join in on the fun. I think Buying a kit is also helpful when you just don’t feel motivated to scrapbook. It gives you all the parts and pieces that you might not be able to pull together and can help you find your groove again. Thanks for your videos Ali. Look forward to them every Friday.

Thank you Ali for those advices ! I’m in one of these moments when I don’t feel motivated ( it is actually going on for a while now, since December) , I can scrap ok but it’s editing and printing that’s really hard now for me. I will go trough my photos and choose what to keep and put them in folders like you said and see if it can jumpstart stories and motivation. Thanks again !

I totally agree about taking a break when I’m not feeling it, or when I am struggling to make decisions. I often find that when I am doing something else I get that spark of inspiration to help me move forward with the project. Watching memory keeping videos here on youtube also helps to give me new ideas and inspiration to get back into it. Loving the new series of videos Ali, look forward to them each week!

I'm loving this weekly series! I look forward to watching a new video every Friday morning while I have breakfast. Thanks for all the great tips! I do so many of the same things when I'm lacking motivation, but there were still some fresh ideas in here. Thanks!

So much great advice Ali! I totally agree with walking away and not forcing things. I’m also that person who changes their mind a lot, and will redo a page/layout if I get a spark of inspiration at a later time. It totally makes me smile to look at my past albums😄 Thanks for keeping it real❤️

Great tips. How do you print pics ahead of time if you don’t know what size you want them? Thanks
@AliEdwardsDesignInc3 жыл бұрын
For Project Life I always print 4x6 photos (at least when I was doing it weekly). I also do a lot of full page photos so I will print them larger and use them as the foundation for my layout. I also totally believe that if you print them you can work with them in whatever size they are printed (aka: make it work).

I use Tiny Beans to keep track of my stories; the photos of my children and the notes I make are sent to family members who live far away from us automatically. It works like a calendar and you add your photos to the calendar day

The stories don’t expire, however my memory is failing me, and that is the tragedy. Write the stories down now, and scrapbook them later
