During a girls’ trip to a remote resthouse in the desert, friends Deidre, Heather, and Charlotte prepare to witness a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower. Things take a strange turn when a fleshy object lands in the pool, which the women think is a dying animal. After failing to get rid of the creature, due to its massive weight, a lack of vehicles, and no working phones, the group has no choice but to keep it within the property. However, the longer they keep it around, the more Charlotte notices weird changes to her friends' behaviors, and she believes the odd creature might be the cause.
