Wow!!! 40 years ago, people back then were CLEARLY not anticipating what the world would turn out to be in the 21st century, and neither was I. (I'm in my mid-50s.) They named the production company Trans World Entertainment. It implies a whole different meaning in these days. 😳

definitely one of my favorite Alien rip-offs and one of the best ones at that. for the record it is called "Creature" or "The Titan Find". I hope it doesn't get taken down because of copyright bullshit

Worthy predecessor to Alien. Quite well-plotted film. Fairly decent special effects for the time and fine acting.
@professorrytonium38439 ай бұрын
Alien came out six years before this knockoff. This was a common practice back in the 80s. Movies like Star Wars, Alien, and 2001: Space Odyssey, spawned countless b-rated versions of these instant classics. One of my faves is “Message From Space” which felt like George Lucas hired Toho Studios to produce it

The movie is called Creature or yes Titan Find as well, it's not a rip off of Alien, because it's about an Alien that's completely different from the Alien franchise.Check out Galaxy of Terror, it has a Alien Pyramid in it and also a Alien that seems to be similar to the Alien from this movie.
@Paul-gq2bn10 ай бұрын
This was available in video stores as "Creature" as of 1985. Virtual plagiarism still sucks.

Little things annoy me, things that can easily be remedied when writing the script, when the scientists were being told about the Alien find that needs documenting the guy say all the othe NTI crew are dead, yet no one asks how the ones that didn't die in crash died! But not only that they couldn't understand why they needed security to go with them! Its poor writing in my opinion and not realistic. I know its only a small fault but it ruins it for me. And even if its something to do with the plot and they dont want to reveal certain things, there are ways around it that gives us more realistic dialogue for the situation they are in.

The original title of this was The Titan Find, which is clearly shown in the opening credits, so why call it 'alien creature'? The round device the one astronauts looks at right at the start is the Krell laboratory door lock which appeared in several scenes of Forbidden Planet.
@PeterDad6010 ай бұрын
I can't see the Krell lab lock from Forbidden Planet. Is that it at 0:58 ? Could you show the time? Example 2:30 shows two astronauts lifting and carrying a large egg/container that the beast is in.

Astronauts with long hair? I’m sure that hair would be impractical for any of the gear they are required to wear. It’s an okay movie, it ain’t great and it isn’t the ‘best sci-fi movie ever’ as some commentators seem to allude. It’s a B movie and it’s okay to watch if you’ve seen everything else out there.
