Larry you can do this, you just need to figure out a few compromises for right now. Why not choose a few rooms that only go up to 8' ceilings and paint the remaining four feet black (you can always change that later)? Have a room or two that can get flooded out in a single color ( like the freezer in total blue with a flickering white here and there ) so that you don't have to detail it as much? As someone else already said, use the dark to your advantage. We put a 400 square foot blackout section in our haunt this past year - added surround sound of monsters in every corner, and gave the customers a glow stick. That scene got mentioned by our customers probably a hundred times and cost nothing and yet no one mentioned the Unit 70 animations or the most expensive rooms we created. The Darkness is awesome but I think using a couple old school tricks could be a refreshing change of pace for this new haunt. Good luck, love the videos. That alien escape looks amazing

As the coordinator of Haunting on the Blue Ghost on the Air Carrier in Corpus Christi Texas, I see your stress, our haunted house is at much much smaller scale, but currently i am planning just like you on paper and the new change i want todo are all your ideas. Thank you for your sharing your knowledge. The problem I have is. I sometimes have 2 weeks to put it together before opening night, and some things have to be taken down every night because USS Lexington museum opens up the next day . This reminds me of the defunct and legendary walkthrough "Living Reality" attraction Alien War from the London trocadero in the 90s

Finish it the best you can and run your tour. Even if it’s not finished it would be cool to see work in progress, maybe show some final concept ideas🤷‍♂️

Are you still doing the build out to expand the gift store? Remember, you're the darkness. Make the dark work for you in the new haunt. It'll disguise a myriad of work in progress for the time being. Good luck.

Will be awesome, I'm creating escape rooms in Australia but limited funds, so slow going, my next trip to USA I'll have to come and check it out. Was hoping Transworld 2025 but things went south so maybe 2026! Long story.
