Well i agree (unfortunately).... It is such an amazing game, with such an AMAZING buildup of scaryness and creepe-ness*, even though they could have made the Alien look WAY WAY more crepee than it already was, so that you wouldnt have seen it soo many times, (scenes like the part where Axel dies and you have to wait for that elevator-cabin to get to you, while you hear far away the Alien scream* and the musics build up in the meantime....) That was such an amazing scene, i mean soo god damn scary and crepee... really terrifying... If the game was made so that more situations like that would have happened dynamicly, NOW THAT would have been the *PERFECT* Alien Isolation. Though i really enjoyed it ! Was disappointed about the fact that there is not going to be a sequel to this amazing piece....But im not that supprised since everybody plays that "Evil within" crap or "Amnesia" crap, or "SOMA" crap, or "resident evil" crap, or.... blah blah... all the same, in my opinion... while Alien Isolation, really got the game cards changed for Horror games ! THOUGH as i said before, they could have made it MUCH better. (i still love that game, and will probbaly never play ANY other horror games such as this one..)

I loved Amnesia, but its story could have been better. But don't you dare diss SOMA. That was mostly a sci-fi survival game with some horror elements, not the other way around. And its story was excellent.

I'm nearing the end of the game and just completed the level where this theme is eard, it really adds to the feeling of dread and panic but also gives you strengh to keep going. Alien isolation is an excellent game in the genre of horror and stays true to it's source material.

Hehe, well i agree with you, OUTSTANDING game, even though they could've made the Alien mechanics a little better(so it wouldnt have shown up 100000 times, but only very few THOUGH with a LOT more scary-crepee scenes where for example you heard the Alien screaming from far away because it heard you and is coming for you... (like in the beginning after Axel died and you had to wait up ad that fucking elevator :') ) BUT anyways, if you like games that make your finger wet, you might wanna try out Geometry Dash xD (not an horro game at all, it's a 2D game, where you have to jump obstacles, but very original and nice)

Just finished Alien: Isolation. As soon as I heard this track, I grinned ear to ear as I attempted to tiptoe around the Xenomorph, barely containing my excitement. It was then when I realized how amazing everything about this game was. Absolutely breathtaking (literally).

+Algernon97 hmm - I like to call it something like "the fightback". If you've saved your flamethrower ammo, you get to be a bad-ass Ellen Ripley burning the alien as you run nervously away. If you haven't saved your flamethrower ammo - then you just keep walking and hope to get lucky, maybe leave a flare behind for it to get interested in while you escape through the terrifying music.

This chapter was home to by far my favourite moment in the whole game. I was preparing to leave through the now open door when the Xenomorph skitted over the bookshelf and slid across the room. I pulled out my trusty flamethrower and it hissed at me as I prepared to hit the trigger. Since I was close to my objective, I played offensively. It hissed and blocked its face before slowly walking towards me. I puffed a few bursts of fire in its face to make it back off, and then it became agressive. I puffed it back before grabbing a molotov and chucking it at it, causing it to run away in terror. Phenomenal game.

just finished the main story and damn i am fucking amazed at how beautiful and well thought this game is. 11/10 for me. Captured the whole 1979 alien feel, mixed it with "ALIENS" and yet still made it feel sleek and modern. Loved every bit of it and i genuinely wish there were more expansions and more story to it.

I know it's been 2 years... But I just decided to run. I had no ammo on my flamethrower, but 2 Molotov cocktails. I'm just running through corridors. Hearing him. Once I step in the door, I hear him running to me. I turned around, saw him and he got Molotov in the face! But he didn't stop. He charged me, I was knocked down, music stopped, I hear ringing in my ears. I'm getting up, music starts again, no Alien. Time to run.

The first half of the game is you facing a terrifying insurmountable beast, dodging, hiding, cowering in fear (medical anyone?). By the time you get to this part of the game, you have become more experienced in dealing with the Alien, you have more equipment to help you and yes, you have the almighty flamethrower. Now the playing field is even. The Alien can still very much rip your face off and your flamethrower fuel won't last forever, and the fight here gets bloody and desperate. You get a sense perhaps you are dealing with two Aliens or that your mind has gone insane. The tension hits you like a rock between the eyes when the mission climaxes, this music appears and you tell yourself, 'I got to get the hell out of here'. The long dark hallway stands between you and survival, and the star beast growls and hisses behind you. Let the chase commence.

Easily a musical masterpiece with this track and the scene that it is set to... The entire sequence through Habitation is just brutal, raw, and terrifying....a single human in a long hallway versus the "perfect organism" of murder and heartless fury. I immediately think of the scene in the original Alien with Ellen Ripley, when she whips around the corner of a Nostromo hallway and sees the Alien, so she slides down to the floor out of sight...without any other hope but the thought that the Xenomorph didn't see her. Years later, I still think this game is the best Alien game we will ever get to experience.

Oh man... I just beat the game like 5 minutes ago (on the hardest difficulty btw ;D ) and oh my god, after I went down that staircase and saw the 2 aliens in front of me, just barley managing to take cover in time so they dont see me, then this music kicked in... that was the most badass part of this game hands down. The ending was a little disappointing to me but the game made up for it, what an incredibly well made game. One of the best horror games I've ever played!

The soundtrack isn't exactly your typical score. It's pretty much a collection of short cues, snipped from mixing Jerry Goldsmith's score with newer elements. Overall though, a lot of it is ambient stuff. I'm going through another run of the game to see if I can't spot longer tacks to record. If you know of a part that has something you want, let me know.
