On PC it's just that. Only the cut scenes aren't. Even back then right after it came out video quality recognizably improved when switching from prerendered cut scene to in-game rendered scene, at least in max detail. Those scenes are 30 fps without any motion blur caused by emulated slow shutter speed, making it look like the opposite of smooth. I guess they wanted to save some space on console DVDs but I never understood why the PC version had these bad videos as well.

@ yah I have it on PC but sometimes I just want to play it on a 70 inch screen. Lol. Game still holds up so well. Really glad we’re getting a sequel. Hope it’s a worthy successor.

I’m surprised they’re releasing a collection without any kind of remaster. Even just a bump to resolution and framerate on console, nothing else, would be nice (although it already runs at 60 fps with Boost on XBox). It still holds up against modern releases even today on PC. 1080p 30, with all that aliasing to boot, on PS5 is a bit rough these days. They could have got so many more people to play Isolation that haven’t played it with a simple update. New players aren’t going back for this. Even the Switch version is superior to the Ps4 version. I doubt we’re getting on though as this is only a Switch Collection set. If they had planned remasters for PS and XBox they would have also had box sets for those.
