The shields held firm -- but after one salvo they were down to 85%. Give me a break. Ridiculous! And, of course, the story has no conclusion. We don't find out if Ethan and Lyara (or however you spell it) get together, we don't find out if the pirates attack again. Thre's no wrap-up of any kind.

I have to agree with William below. Why do you truncate the stories? Besides, if the Resolve was a warship, why didn’t Voss call for reinforcements?
