The human prisoners are incredibly dedicated to maintaining a grip of the prison soap supplies. I do not know what horrors are unleashed once it is dropped on their world but I pray to the pantheon I never find out. I have also learned they can turn practically anything into a shiv or shank. Who knew a that much damage could be caused by some broken glass tied to a plastic fork.

The thing about evolving on a deathworld is that you don't have the means to realize your people have been doing so until you get a chance to leave, and gain an outside measuring point to compare yourself against. Back on old Earth, all we had was our wildlife to compare against - so we ended up thinking we were somewhat small, rather frail and that our endurance and intelligence were all we had going for ourselves. To reiterate; we had thought a constantly changing climate, the atmosphere now-and-again turning violently lethal, perpetual geological instability, crushing gravity, man-eating predators, venomous micro-predators, and the galaxy's most lethal cocktail of viral and microbial life were all completely normal things to grow and develop within. Imagine the chuffed satisfaction of the ones who ventured forth and found that compared to other spacefaring species, we were incredibly robust, blindingly fast and exceedingly deadly in our own right.

@michaellinnet609510 күн бұрын
Probably. Considering the methods of ftl propulsion that we as a species have speculated on, they all use some version of force field to maintain hull integrity. And even our moon rockets used a high tensile strength aluminum alloy for the outer skin.

@@mr.neonchef8625Oh really? Because like 99% of these hfy stories sound extremely AI generated, and generally the voices are as well, and the images always are. Sometimes they are entertaining but you have to ignore the janky bits which are all too common... if these aren't AI generated, then whoever wrote them did their best to make them sound like they are, which is a very weird goal.
