There is a reason why the nation called the 'United States of America' held onto power for so long in the past. the few reasons were that their position gave leeway to easy defensive locations and natural chokepoints, their airforce and navy was absurdly powerful, and it only gotten worse when the two rulers of both North and South came together to make a counterweight against us. While their territories weren't as big and large as the Asian continents, as large as Europe, they were spread tall and the smaller size meant that they could reinforce any of their position quicker than we could send in. Plus with a bastion of bases and forts capable of quick responding forces and high tech weaponry, they traded quantity for quality. Even after with granted permission and clearance, and even after unleashing primitive, ancient orbital weapons called 'The Fury of God', a anecdote to a very old religion in the past, down upon the Northern territories of Americas, they still fought us to a stalemate. It was only until, the Leader and I lead our troops together did we have moderate success in taking down the line that had for so long prevented us from entering North America. When we had broken through we also had torn down the line that prevented our forces every time they tried to assault. After that, it became mop up. It didn't end there however. The Caribbean Islands. Namely the two previously named, 'Cuba' and 'Puerto Rico'. While Australia was a fortress, and the Americas a bastion. The Caribbean Islands were citadels. Completely covered in Anti-air capable of downing any aerocraft we had at the time, defenses on every town, every city, and every beachhead. For twenty years our forces had tried to even remotely 'land' anywhere near or close to the isles. Naval ships were sunk, aircrafts were shot down, vehicles were destroyed and infantry were gunned down. Even when we made landfall, those twenty years couldn't compare to the next ten years. Every five years was trying to take a single island city. For every inch we had took, we paid in large mountains of bodies and lakes of blood. Artillery that was both endless and accurate disrupted us at every turn the moment they had zeroed in. Guerilla fighters made every battle tiring in both day and night, never allowing to catch our breaths. Traps, and dead man switches haunted our troops for days on end until we had finally succeeded by putting down the two warlords of the Americas."
