On the Queens tour they also burn down many houses on certain highways then last minute she choose a different root making many homeless and all for her not to see the Maori people it wasn't a good look, The day before the Queen’s arrival, two of the air force pilots chosen to fly over the Gothic as it approached Auckland were killed in separate crashes. Then came a terrible disaster at Tangiwai in the central North Island on Christmas Eve. Six carriages of the Wellington-Auckland express train plunged into the Whangaehu River and 151 people were eventually confirmed dead. A lahar - a torrent of ice, volcanic ash and boulders - had swept away the bridge. The event cast a pall over New Zealand’s royal Christmas. The Queen mentioned the event in her Christmas message, and visited a couple who had survived the disaster. The Duke later flew to Wellington to attend a memorial service for the victims. Some Māori who had felt uneasy about many details of the Queen’s visit pointed to the fact that ‘Tangiwai’ was the linguistic inverse of ‘Waitangi’ - ‘weeping waters’. The gods were showing their displeasure at the monarch’s presence in Aotearoa.The Scottish people sat and explained why they could not, feel excited about Elizabeth as she was not, in reality, the true Queen let alone Queen Elizabeth II as true Scots had never even recognised the first Elizabeth 1500's …Queen Eliazbeth the first, killed queen Mary of Scotland, deemed FIRST cousins , Queen Mary was to be the queen of England but was decapitated AGE 44 FOR TREASON by her first cousin Queen Elizabeth THE FIRST in 1587, WHICH IS WHY THE Scots DONT LIKE THE QUEEN.

People seem to forget that colonial acts against native people like the Maori didn't stop when the colonizers claimed their "victory": it's an ongoing process that continues to damage native peoples the world over. Well done to these lads for bringing attention to the burning of Okahu and Maori language and culture in general. You do your ancestors proud.
@CNNBlackmailSupport
@CNNBlackmailSupport 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, tons of damage that built hospitals, industry, schools, and everything else. If it wasnt the people who colonized them in actual history, it would have been someone else. What happens when one tribe defeats another? They shake hands and give a salute? Of course not. If you are going to be colonized and you can choose your colonizer, there is no better group than Europeans. If you dont think so, then you are free to imagine how things would be had they been colonized by Muslims, East Asians, or Native American tribes. That doesnt mean western colonization was terrific or fair. Colonization was going to happen at some point. Do you know why there arent any protests over minority rights or culture in Muslim nations? It's because you either asimilate or get wiped out in most cases. Protesting the treatment of conquered people isnt a thing when you kill everyone or force them to convert.

@Liv N I dont think that you can claim the Maori rocked the British. The Maori lost about four times as many troops, but they also only had 1/3rd the max warrior count. The Maori are phenomenal fighters and incredibly smart tacticians, but that wasnt enough to overcome the technology and size of the British soldiers. The British were cocky, so they acted recklessly, but they only lost roughly 800 troops in that time. The Maori lost about 2500 troops over the same time period. Germany faced a similar situation during WWII. The German forces had superior technology and weapons. The Allies had inferior technology and weapons, but they had way more of those weapons. A German tank could blow up 9 Allied tanks for every tank they lost, but there was always another tank on the way. The Maori were outgunned and outnumbered, but they were outthinking the British, which is why they had any success at all. They still lost, but they proved themselves to be worthy of respect, hence the treaty rather than an extermination.

This topic reminds me of the indigenous ppl of North America and the Trail of Tears. I never really knew about my heritage of any kind you guys aka Alien Weaponry along with Sepultura, ill Niño, Ektomorf, and Soulfly really helped me discover and care about my heritage bcuz my mom knew we were iroquois and my grandma's father being pure Indian it is amazing and powerful what you're doing with the 'groovy thrash metal' sound. I mean I didn't even know that English wasn't even American language bcuz I found out American Natives actually spoke Dutch and Danish languages and other sub languages one of them my mom knew of but could never speak that language being Cherokee and you weren't kidding as far as western culture losing it's identity also I hate being told "you white why you talk like that" come to find out I'm not what ppl think nor say I am also to ppl like that I would say consider this that when America was colonized the men were killed in battle and women were uh... well you can guess and it wasn't cool at all. So I will say Thank You Alien Weaponry very much 🤘🙏❤💯

Everybody keeps talking about thrash, but these guys have a deep Nu metal influence. I'm not complaining. It's great. But it's definitely not thrash.
@topsecret1837
@topsecret1837 5 жыл бұрын
Nu metal had a lot in common with late thrash. Frankly Anthrax kind of started the trend with their I’m The Man. Even then considering thrash metal had been slowed down since 1990, it morphed into slam and groove metal which essentially became the sonic influence of the groovy riffs of Nu metal. The difference is Nu metal uses more electronic background, so actually I would identify Alien Weaponry as a cultural Thrash/Industrial as sonically there’s no solo nor virtuousity in common with thrash or metal core, so industrial would make sense in that there aren’t usually solos. Unlike Nu metal where each section of the song gets more confusing and at times like with Korn songs they fall entirely apart like in Shoots and Ladders, Alien Weaponry stich identical parts together in such a way that would be comparable to Sepultura and even Fear Factory’s early years. I have a fair bet they’ll work on that as they get older.

Type less and Open your ears more please, and thank you. Anyways, please excuse my complaints, and may the merriment resume.

From the start of this track, the changes indicate the message of their superiority in continuously making you guess what's next. It's clean yet distorted. Layered in well thought out technique. Insatiable and yet to the point. The Māori ancestral group that has started gaining well-deserved recognition will undoubtedly keep growing in strength.
