Great tutorial. Just one Aliens nit: Vasquez was a smart gun operator, Frost had the flamethrower/incinerator 😊

Ohh I always thought the smart gun was called an incinerator?

@@stalwartminiatures994 not 100% but I don’t think so. Getting really geeky now but I think when they realised they were under the heat exchangers, Gorman tells Apone to gather all ammo. That includes pulse rifle rounds and smart gun power units. He only authorised them to use the incinerators…which eventually backfired when the marines were left defenceless and well, incinerated by their own flamethrowers and exploded ammo…except for Vasquez hiding backup power units for herself and drake. But I saw the movie recently… Again this tutorial was great. Received my game and started gluing minis today, I was shocked how much smaller they are in real life and how much detail you were able to get on them 🫡👏

@@stalwartminiatures994nope. I adore this movie, and can quote it pretty much from start to end. And (I’m a HYUUGE aliens/predator geek) I’ve read hundreds of the comics and novels for this universe. Flamethrowers are called incinerators. Frost and Werzbowski are the incinerator operators. Drake and Vasquez are smartgunners.

i have found that using ANY air flow to dry the paint quicker causes the paint to form a skin that makes it take longer to dry because the solvent can't evaporate as readily from the paint...

Which brush are you using at 4:00? It looks fantastic! Initially I thought it was a rubber tip because of how well it flexes and sticks together, but I'm pretty sure they're bristles. Great paint job btw! I don't have an airbrush, but am tempted to invest in one at some point.

Sorry for the delay, that one looks like is a citadel S synthetic layer brush, they where all right but I have since switched to broken toad fugazi brushes, not as good as sable hair ones but way cheaper

What kind of glue would you recommend for plastic models like those? I've never done miniature stuff and I was surprised to see that I had to assemble these when I opened the box.
@stalwartminiatures994 Жыл бұрын
For these models I use revel contacta plastic glue, you can use superglue but it can get messy and I always end up sticking myself to something lol, plastic glue won’t do that as it melts the plastic together
@jinjuuryuu Жыл бұрын
@@stalwartminiatures994 thanks! I should have done that! Instead I bought crazy glue but one with a brush. So far it wwnt OK with the marines but the aliens are a chore to glue to their bases.... Why didn't they put a peg under one foot like that marines!?!? 😑
@mordor-focker4 ай бұрын
@@stalwartminiatures994did the revel contacta work ok? I bought this set yesterday and was told by a friend who has the heroes of Hadley's hope miniatures by GF9 that the contacta wouldn't touch them.

Nice but can upload your colors list what you use? =))

Do you need to wait for the other colors to dry before using the wash? Should I use a clear coat on top of the miniatures after they’re painted?
@michaelsutherland4656 Жыл бұрын
Definitely wait for them to dry before wash Matt gloss best although not necessarily needed can take away look from the fabric texture etc

Good thing they wore all camo greens ....on a planet with zero vegetation.
