First off, apologies for the poor video quality, apparently I have no idea how to properly record things
The RNG for this run was about as bad as it gets and I played very sloppily, but I'm just glad to be probably the first one to ever achieve this particular feat to my knowledge. I was definitely panicking at the end and my hands were shaking like crazy. Took me 21 tries but it's finally over. Most of my attempts ended during the dynamo defense encounter or the drone in the four-way intersection horde encounter that immediately follows it. I thought this run was doomed for sure in the corridor leading up to the final encounter with the prowler hiding around the corner and the runners spawning behind me, I'm VERY lucky that my aim was off and the coil hit the corner instead of the prowler because if the prowler had been activated at the same time that those runners spawned in behind me I would have died for sure. As mediocre as it is, the Hit-And-Run Tactics perk was surprisingly valuable and was definitely the MVP of this challenge, as well as Real-Time Resource Reclamation which essentially functioned as a two-slot 33% Recharge Speed perk.
Also please excuse the amount of time I took outside of the refinery ops log objective room, I thought that if I killed enough xenos they'd stop spawning so that I could 1v1 the drone but I learned the hard way that's not the case.
Of note: This is not necessarily an optimal technician build, it's just what I felt would give me the best chance with the true solo rules.

@@PhoenixTubez @J D I thought you were joking, sorry. Let's think about this seriously, then. You claim I headshotted everything. I know that you know that's not true because it's obvious hyperbole, but I imagine what you'd more seriously try and back up is that I headshotted ALMOST everything, right? I mean, surely aimbots aren't perfect? Well we have your supposed evidence in this video right here. The very first runner on the ceiling which always spawns there I hit with a quick body shot to put them on stumble and then pop the head since I know where it will be because of the stumble animation. We're already 1 for 2 on headshots on a STILL target, but maybe there's more to support your claim in the first proper fight? Let's see. At 1:21 I initiate the first horde encounter. After popping the first runner with a point blank shotgun blast that anybody could hit, I use the Kramer and proceed to body shot every runner for every bullet in my magazine. Not a single headshot. Is the aimbot not working? Am I just pretending to be bad? Maybe I switch it on and off randomly to try and fool eagle-eyed viewers like you? You tell me. At 3:16 we've got a prowler coming around the corner who's been slowed by my coil throw. He's an incredibly easy target, he's close range, there's no way an aimbot could mess this up. Watch and see how many times I shoot it and how many of those shots hit it's gigantic red head. What's the explanation here? How deep does this conspiracy go? Did you even watch the whole video? I can't imagine you did or you would have seen the end of missions stats screen where it displays the amount of kills I had versus the amount of headshot kills I had. I know you won't look so I'll just spoil it here for you: 483 kills, 178 headshot kills. Yikes. Well that's okay, I hear you typing, because those 178 kills were from your guns and the rest were your turret! My turret certainly had the opportunity to rack up some kills during choke point segments, after all. Sorry to disappoint but my turret killed far fewer xenos than you think, and we can observe this by watching the damage numbers coming out of the xenos near the turret, noticing the two sets of numbers; one for the flames, one from my bullets. They're easy to spot since the bullets come out in big chunks whereas the flames do their damage gradually. Notice how for many of the xenos under my turret, the gradual numbers stop immediately after I put a Kramer bullet in them, indicating that the killing blow had to have been the gun (often body shots, incidentally). Please understand, I only thought you were joking because the aim displayed in this video is nothing short of mediocre at best; I've played a lot of shooters but I'm no professional. It's obvious to anyone looking at this that I've got a long way to go to improve my aim, there are players out there who completely put this display to shame! Are they hacking too? Or am I just pretending to be bad? Why does my alleged aimbot keep missing easy headshots? How is the aimbot supposed to work? If it snaps to enemy's heads, why didn't it alert me to this prowler at 24:49 ? There's countless examples in this video, and it's very confusing to me because surely you had to have watched at least partway through the video to think you could come to this conclusion, but if that's true, how could your brain so selectively go AROUND every instance of indisputable legitimate gameplay? I guess the bottom line is this; if you ARE serious and not just some elaborate reply-bait farmer, I have to ask, what in this video made you think I'm using an aimbot? Surely you have something to point at and stand behind or you wouldn't be trying to convince everybody of it. Where in the video is the smoking gun? Edit: and let's not even talk about my horrendous 62.1% accuracy rating at the end of the mission. Of course, you'd think that it's just shotgun pellets dragging it down, right? I hit every bullet I fired, right?

Just wait til you see when I upload the insane difficulty sequel, my aim has improved a lot since I posted this, I just need to actually beat the mission but the dynamo defense encounter and the guaranteed drone that comes after are really kicking my ass. Everything that comes after is much easier, I just need to get through that mid section with a decent amount of life; I bet not even an aimbot could help when a full magdump of headshots merely tickles a prowler or spitter. Shit's hard. Thinking about switching to incinerator.

I love how people are criticizing it as not being the way the game was meant to be played. I was in the army infantry for two enlistments and let me tell you I play corners in video games cuz that's how life works too. Why the f*** are you going to expose yourself to a s*** ton of dudes running at you in the open when you can hold an angle or you could set up an obstacle course for them to run through. It's just basic tactics man and you're doing it great. After watching you play now I'm trying. My aim is off because of arthritis but I absolutely think this is a lot of fun playing solo

Beat Extreme for the first time ever yesterday. Also used tech. Did not kill Alpha and Beta. I was sure I was dead by first fight, drone came out of vent on top of me and forced my first heal. That was the first time I realized there was no generator health kit on extreme...and the warrior had left me under 500 hp. Played super cautious, dropped all kinds of sentries on Final fight and just barely got out.

He never really got rid of them until the end. He used the perk that triples their dmg when his turret is out. They do all the killing and he just stuns things. If you keep watching until the very end, you see how he makes the game think he did it solo, and unlocks the secret outfit.

Today I learned that people playing on Intense/Extreme/Insane aren't actually better or stronger than everyone stuck on intense. They just run away from every encounter back to a hallway with a chokepoint. Very clever, but also dumb that the developers made it so you literally can't beat it the way it was meant to be played.

@@JunAkiba true, especially on extreme+, the game is meant to find good chokepoints, even on intense ppl are rushing and you struggle to finish a mission, with friends its alot easier than randoms, the game isnt made for rushing trough lvls, sure on lower difficulties you can do some weird rambo jambo moves, but on higher difficulty you need to coordinate and use chokepoints, but thats just my opinion

You're mostly right. Basic knowledge about choke points and competent perk builds will instantly make almost anybody capable of tackling intense and extreme difficulty. The only real mechanical demand comes on insane difficulty when your aim becomes important for getting headshots so you don't run out of ammo with how spongey the enemies are. Otherwise, this game is pretty easy. If you ever want to feel humbled, though, just try true solo yourself or horde mode on high difficulties if you think choke points are all there is to it.

Btw, this is not the first Fireteam Elite video ive seen with it, and regarding how many other cool paint jobs / skins you acually can put on you're guns its so wired that this is whats someone picks. I hate it, and i hate the dragonfruit skin too. its not Alien/aliens at all, but still its popular. Why? because it shines?... if so, your brain must be the same of a magpie, because they like things that shines too. I guess you just have no taste at all in the estetic side of Aliens, because all you want to do is show off how good you are at the game.
