This story started out well, but when "fabricated from materials in his room" was used, it failed. The room was smooth, seamless, and yet materials for creating a sophisticated hacking device just happened to be on hand. Details added as needed to make a potentially good story fall flat on its face. Does anyone proofread and edit these stories?
