Even as a kid I felt sorry and terrified for Newt. Imagine, months hiding like a rat in the ventilation while real fucking monsters are out there devouring your family and turning them into…hosts. I always wondered how it was those things never found her. Tragedy what happened to her in the sequel.

I think Alien 3 can be enjoyed a lot more if you consider it more of an 'elseworld' addition to the franchise. I've always had a soft spot for it.

I believe it was these sounds and noises that Newt heard at night when she was alone in this scary place.

Love the Alien sounds a bit of the ways in. The only way to improve this further would be to have occasional muffled sounds from inside the vents, like an Alien is crawling through a duct nearby without realizing the hideout is there!

Distant screams from xenomorphs would also be nice, it would give a feeling of more fear and danger.

i like to think that you can't hear them because they learned to move through vents silently in order to surprise attack any survivor they might encounter

I've just finished my autumn wreath making for the night and I'm listening to this. What a masterpiece! Its actually cosy, in a way, with the fan on and hearing the aliens turning away from your location and getting more distant. I love the immersion element of this with how you, the uploader, make us think about how awful it must've been for Newt all that time she was alone. How hard it must've been. How long each day was. Thank you so much for this. I have only clicked on this once or twice before but didn't get the time to truly appreciate just how good this was, how thought provoking it is. I honestly can experience what Newt feels like now, without any real danger!

@@AmbientRunner very welcome - i meant to leave a comment with that - honestly one of the coolest things ive experienced on YT. masterful sound design. i was falling asleep listening to this and it was like being in a weird dream (or nightmare..). these movies always had me imagining what it would be like to be in that environment. so cool!
