When I was a kid, around hte time Aliens came out, my parents bought my a pack of Army Men called "Guts" and they were my "Space Marines" to play Aliens. I didn't have an "Alien" figure though.

That’s so awesome. I completely forgot about those ‘Guys’ figures! WOW! Thanks for the reminder. Yeah before the Kenner figures I had to make do with what ever I could find for Aliens figures…GI Joes were definitely my Marines and for the Xenos it was a bit tricky…some electrical tape and crafty work made it all happen. I've also started collecting some of the rebooted line called Micro Galaxy Squadrons, and so far, I've got the Millenium Falcon, Imperial TIE fighter, Imperial AT-ST, Imperial Troop Transport, and Asajj Ventress's Ginivex Starfighter. I'd like to collect more of them, but a lot of them are rather pricey! I've got them displayed alongside the Slave 1 and Wedges' X-Wing from the original '90s SW Action Fleet line; they're approximately the same scale. The Micro Galaxy Squadrons' vehicles come with little blueprint readout cards in Aurebesh Alphabet on the backs of their boxes that you can cut out, which I have been doing, it's really neat!!

Some of those newer ones are very nice, lots more detail. I may have to pick up a couple. As much as I love Star Wars I wish they would do some of their movies too. I really appreciate you watching the video and checking out my channel.

Yeah, the bigger ones like the Falcon and AT-AT have electronic lights and sounds, and most, if not all, have weathering, which is neat; however, I noticed that their Delta 7 Aethersprite Obi Wans' Jedi Starfighter from Ep.2 AOTC was inaccurate, as it placed the astromech socket directly in front of the cockpit but it should be on the left/port side of the ship, and they also inaccurately made his R4 astromech unit removable with a full body, but canonically it was a built-in astromech unit in Ep.2 and R4-P17 didn't receive a full body until after Ep.2, in the Clone Wars (original Clone Wars Multi Media Project 2002-2007)

I remember seeing the Predator and Alien base sets (so the helmets that fold out into a play arena) in Toys R Us as a kid.

I never saw any of those Micro Machines sets as a kid. Which is wild to me. It wasn’t until several years later I saw a few sets at a toy show. Thanks for checks out the video!

The ALIENS APC is one of my all time fave sci-fi vehicles, Galoob's version is super cute. These are terrific! Excellent work, dude!

@@2DayRentals Hasbro is currently making a line of Star Wars ships with mini figures called Micro Galaxy Squadron. But as far as I can tell it's only ships and no playsets.

Ah so much fun. If I had the space I'd probably try and get hold of these. I remember the star wars line of Action Fleet but was never lucky enough to come across these. I had every Kenner Aliens toy at the time, these would have blown my little 12 year old mind :)

Those are pretty cool. They remind me of the mighty Max play sets and also the action Masters metal diecast figures that Kenner made. The action Masters figures came with a card and they made a queen alien, predator, terminator, the T1000, Batman and a few star figures if I recall. Hate to see you open those but love it at the same time. Lol the Power Rangers micro machines are on my list of micro machines to get.

Yeah they definitely have that Mighty Max vibe. It really is bittersweet opening these but, ultimately glade I did. I’m not sure I’ve seen the power rangers ones? I never fully got into Power Rangers. It just passed me by. I did think the toys were pretty cool though. Thanks for checking out the video!

Those extra siliders you had for the app. Came from a 80's toy line called army gear. Which was made up of toy weapons or survival gear. That tranformed into a play set. 1986 I believe was when it came out.

@@2DayRentals I was a 80's kid was really into the oddball toys back then. Army gear was one of them lol. I recognized them just by kid memory alone. 😅

Was gonna say the same thing...I had a whole bunch of Army Gear sets, I guess the line didn't do well so they were really cheap. Had the M16, canteen, machete, grenade, and m1911 pistol. Great toys if you liked Mighty Max, Micro Machines, Polly Pocket etc. HUGE play potential

Never seen these Aliens ones but I always liked the Star Wars Action Fleet. I remember being in the store and seeing a 3 winged Tie fighter called the Tie Defender. I didn’t like it because it never appeared in the films. I guess no one else did either because it was heavily marked down. Now I think its one of the most sought after ones in that series

I had the alien and predator head playsets. Never opened them. But as life goes, had to sell them.😒hard being a collrctor when real life hits you and you need funds. I think they yave a terminator playset as well

Of the original Action Fleet Star Wars line from the '90s, I have the complete Slave 1 and complete Wedge Antilles X-Wing that came with a smaller X-Wing to display with it in flight; I say "complete" but I think they're missing something, as both stands have a slot in them that looks like it's supposed to hold something, and then the Slave 1 has a peg hole on the side of the ship where it looks like it's supposed to hold some accessory, but I never got anything with it that could fit in those holes/slots, as I did receive them used, in a lot of '90s Star Wars toys my grandma's boyfriend gave me when I was younger! I would definitely like to acquire some more of the original Star Wars Action Fleet lineup, including some of the sets for Ep. 1 TPM!

I think I’d like to get the Slave 1 eventually and maybe an X-wing and Tie Fighter. I feel like I see the Star Wars stuff more often than the other lines that were produced. My hunch is that they made more of the Star Wars sets. Good times. Thanks again for sharing and watching!

I've got several of the Star Wars action fleet...though I'd repainted them for use with the older WEG wargame and then a few got broken back out for the newer one and various RPG uses over the years. There was supposed to be a deluxe version of the dropship as well that I remember seeing in things that never appeared. I think it was a planned holiday deluxe thing as it was supposed to be one that the actual APC could fit into and would have had other figures with it. I also seem to remember seeing ads for a version of the miniheads that they did with Star Wars that included a normal micromachine size vehicle and a couple figures with some of the Aliens ones that seemed to be a joint project with kenners lines and a few figure sets such as one with the Ripley/Newt, the queen, a few of the others and some egg clusters. One of Hicks, Newt, Bishop, the Queen, and Ripley that could be slotted into an included power loader. A lot of the Alien(s)/Predator/Alien Vs Predator stuff was really the first thing that I actually collected to collect and display other than various cards.

I wouldn’t say that the Kenner Aliens stuff was the first I collected for but, it was definitely one of the first lines that I wanted to collect complete as a kid.

@@2DayRentals There were several others that I'd collected to play around with, but the Kenner Aliens/Predator stuff and Jurassic Park ended up being something that pulled me back into the toy isles while in Jr High...the AvP stuff, mainly, because I'd heavily gotten into the comics and kept hoping they'd have some of the characters from the comics in the action figure line.

@@2DayRentals I mainly remember that because the walmart near me tended to have their desk that handled sports and toys there with a list of things aimed for Christmas a while before where they had the copies from the store catalogue printed and available for a lot of things that you could go through and order starting several months early...unfortunately, ended up with a refund there.

Man I always wanted to have this toys the are a little before my time nowadays these vehicles are so expensive I can only wish to have them and with some 3d printed figures you can have the whole cast of aliens

Ever so often you can find them for reasonable. It’s seems that’s harder these days though. 3D printed maybe be the way to go if they never do any more official releases. Really don’t see why what ever company has the license wouldn’t make a new line at this scale. Seems like it would sell really well. Thanks for checking out the video!

Did you buy the APC used? That might actually be a Hicks figure. I saw one on ebay for way more than I'm willing to pay that comes with a Hudson figure that's holding his pulse rifle with both hands and has the jolly roger skull on his chest.

As far as I can tell the APC was new. Everything looked like it was packed the way it originally came. Doesn’t mean someone wasn’t crafty and swamped the figures. Now I’m curious. Thanks for pointing that out and for watching the video!
