I think it worked really well in this case because the stuff popped off with the swapping device for a ton of landlord burst damage, while the diamonds let the sun/flower stuff save the device for the final battle.

Meh, if I don't shoot my shot it'll never happen, so no harm in trying right? I'd love to see you play Fights in Tight Spaces sometime. It's got a little bit of the same blood as Slay the Spire in that you're fighting enemies with a deck of cards, but you fight in a three dimensional space, and there's a lot of focus on moving around that space with your cards. Oh, and you're a badass secret agent taking down leaders of the criminal underworld. That's probably important to mention. Easily one of my favorite recent games, and would love to see you give it a try (and also maybe I think it deserves more attention lol).

No joke, when I play Slay the Spire I like to have a "main deck" with heavy synergy that carries me through the game, and a "side deck" which is just an entertaining collection of cards whose interaction I find fun

I honestly prefer it that way since Tyler is way better than most at the puzzle/roguelike genre, while ISAB is a bloons encyclopedia. It really allows them each to thrive by targeting a niche that they offer the most value to.
