Spectrals are a case of risk-reward. They have powerful effects, but with a cost. Cards like Ankh can be extremely powerful in the early antes to focus down a build, immolate to thin your deck, and hell, if you get wraith and have credit card, you can go to -20$ and gain 20$. I would say that once you get a joker you know can make a run, like hologram…you can use the spectral cards to make that joker insane. Also, deja vu for red seals can go crazy with enhanced cards. Red Seal + Lucky Card + Oops all 6s + lucky cat = crazy. Add an ankh to get an extra all 6s or an extra lucky cat makes for some crazy stuff.

I've found things like Ankh even more powerful in late stakes when you start getting eternals, it becomes even less risk and even more reward and it's won me several runs (like beating Purple Stake first try on yellow deck with early madness+ankh+other eternals)

I played a run of pairs as I watched this video. I had to re-roll a few runs until I got the burned joker, I got it around ante 3, & I managed to get pairs to level 23 by the time I got to the boss at ante 8. I didn't get far in endless mode though as I had no mult multipliers.

So i ended up hearing from somewhere that there's actually a trick to how Wheel works, depending on if you wanna control your odds a little more (Edit note here, this is of course in addition to the 1 in 4 chance already present for wheel to hit or miss, for anyone reading this that gets confused) Wheel targets one of two cards at a 50/50 chance, the oldest applicable joker you have, or the youngest. When wheel hit your pair joker it chose the newest, otherwise it would've hit campfire since that's your oldest (not counting burnt since wheel can't replace editions). Also, the edition given is X out of 6, 3 for foil, 2 for holo, and 1 for poly (i think, it may be 1 in 3 for each instead)

Tyler, after I've 100%'d my game of Balatro (I got it towards the start of Spring Break for me, being around March 20th-21st), I'm gonna do a challenge called a "Replication Run". Essentially, I'll be using a seed that you had in one of your videos, only I'll be doing my own gameplay through it, and trying to see if I can beat the seed in a different way than you did. The rules are simple. At no point may I make the same selections you made at certain points (as in, what I purchase at a shop. Everything else is fair game, whether it be because it's literally forced onto me, like the Blinds, or it being an optional choice, such as using Consumables and purchasing Vouchers). I can use whatever deck I want, as well as choose whatever stake I want. There's no prize or penalty if I complete or fail the run. This challenge is entirely for fun, and I'm gonna want to challenge myself after 100% completion.
